I became a client at Phoenix Wellness Center during a particularly challenging chapter of my life, and I remain deeply grateful for the support I found here. From the beginning, this practice has provided a steady, compassionate environment for meaningful healing.
My therapist has made a lasting difference in my life. Their consistent care, insight, and grounded presence have supported meaningful change. Just as important, they show up as a real person — attentive, honest, and even humorous when it helps. The work we’ve done continues to shape how I move through the world, and working with them has reaffirmed how much genuine human connection truly matters in therapy.
As a group therapy practice in Phoenix, what stands out is the genuine sense of care and cohesion. Even with regular activity, the environment is impressively quiet and respectful. Privacy is clearly valued, and even brief hallway interactions feel warm without ever being intrusive. There seems to be a mindful commitment to inclusivity woven into the culture of the practice, which I greatly appreciate.
The office appears intentionally designed to accommodate a wide range of client needs. Thoughtful touches in the waiting room — a coffee and tea station, a variety of comfortable seating options, a small play area for children, and a clean, easily accessible restroom — reflect that intention. Some therapists also have therapy dogs who offer a gentle, grounding presence in the space. The administrative desk sits behind frosted glass, offering an added sense of respectful privacy.
Behind the scenes, the admin handles calls professionally and reliably, messages are returned consistently, and the client portal and mobile app make communication and scheduling easy.
I strongly recommend this practice to anyone currently seeking support.

I’ve been seeing Janel at Phoenix Wellness Center for about 15 years, which probably says more than anything else I could write here.
She’s helped me through some difficult times and given me tools that have genuinely improved my life and relationships. She’s thoughtful, honest, and great at helping you see things from a different perspective without ever making you feel judged.
Phoenix Wellness Center has always been welcoming and professional, and I’m very grateful for the support I’ve received there.

I cannot believe how unprofessional and disorganized this office is. They NEVER answer the phone during business hours, and when I do get through, nobody is ever helpful. I’ve been trying for weeks to simply pay my account balance. The app doesn’t work, so I gave them my card number directly over the phone. Each time, they either lose it, claim it’s “not on file,” or never actually process the payment.
This last time, I even made sure I got email confirmation that my card was on file — and still, they “couldn’t process the payment.” Meanwhile, my therapist is running in circles telling me it’s somehow my fault with the app.
This is unacceptable. A healthcare office should at least be able to answer the phone and properly take a payment. Instead, I’ve wasted countless hours dealing with incompetence and excuses. Absolutely awful experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this office to anyone.
On top of that, the therapist Amorita is NEVER on time. And when she does show up, she’s often off camera making coffee (which she openly admits) or even driving during my scheduled appointment time so she can get to her other in-person job. This has been happening for months, and it’s completely unprofessional.
This is unacceptable. A healthcare office should at least be able to answer the phone, properly take a payment, and have therapists who show up ready for appointments. Instead, I’ve wasted countless hours dealing with incompetence and excuses. Absolutely awful experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this office to anyone.
Phil is a great man, truly. Not a person to lie to you, actually there to help with positive intentions. Receptionist lady is kind and welcoming. I reccomend this place. I haven't met the other counsellors, but my general advice is find someone who can help you, and be honest with yourself. Find the right person to help you, and don't waste time for either party.

This place is just completely shady, they told me I was covered by my insurance and take my co-pay automatically, then sent me a COLLECTIONS notice years later and said the provider isn't contracted with my insurance. So now they expect me to pay for the ONE visit I had back MANY years ago.
I specifically asked and confirmed that they accepted my insurance. I would have never went there if I knew I was not covered. I asked them several times before I even made an appointment.
