About this clinic

Copper Valley Integrative Medicine and Aesthetics, a functional and integrative-medicine clinic in Tucson, focuses on hormone replacement therapy alongside comprehensive integrative-medicine evaluation. The practice provides individualized workups for patients experiencing hormone-related decline, including hormone-replacement protocols tailored to each person's lab results and clinical presentation. Microneedling is available as an adjunctive aesthetic offering. The clinic operates as a concierge practice, emphasizing continuity of care and coordination between hormone optimization and broader functional-medicine goals. Practitioners work with patients to address underlying drivers of dysfunction rather than managing symptoms in isolation.

I will NOT recommend Laura Moncada due to transparency issues, complaints regarding billing issues (see reviews), and lack of professionalism. I feel like I dodged a bullet. Tucson is a University town with outstanding medical facilities and professionals so no need to compromise!! CVIN does not say they are a concierge medical practice, but they are certainly charging as one. I asked multiple times what the $200/month charge covered because I have an HSA and IRS rules, (they do not cover medical plan premiums and concierge fees). The answer they provided repeatedly was simply “Integrative, Functional, and hormonal therapy”, implying services, not membership. They charged me before I even had an appointment scheduled. Several unanswered calls lead to a voicemail where I asked what specifically the monthly charge covered and requested either an appointment or a refund. Apparently, they don’t want to be questioned and refused me as a patient, saying refund would be issued (😂). Due to lack of professionalism I will count myself lucky to have avoided further interaction.

I recently began seeing Laura and I could not be more impressed. She was exceptionally thorough and well prepared, taking the time to review my medical history in detail, arriving with notes, and making me feel genuinely heard. At no point did I feel rushed, instead, it was clear that my health truly mattered. The fee is more than fair for the hard work Laura puts in and the exceptional care she provides. Laura’s background, education and experience working on the east coast also reinforced the fact that I made the right choice in trusting and choosing Copper Valley. From both personal experience and well documented research, I’ve found that healthcare professionals who have trained or practiced on the East Coast often deliver a higher standard of care compared to what I’ve experienced in Tucson, where care can feel extremely subpar. East Coast trained clinicians frequently benefit from stronger academic foundations, higher rates of advanced nursing and medical training, and access to integrated clinical infrastructure. These factors are associated with better patient outcomes, including lower mortality and more comprehensive, coordinated care. So, if you are looking for an intelligent, experienced and educated PCP, I am certain she will provide a caliber of care that surpasses the rest. Overall, I would highly recommend Laura to anyone seeking a physician who combines intelligence, compassion, and evidence based holistic care. I feel truly fortunate to have her guiding my health journey.

The waiting room is like entering a spa—soft music, pleasant decor, and relaxation. I had my vitals taken, and Laura was in the room within three minutes. She had reviewed my labs, which was evident from our conversation. She asked about my ultimate goal and devised a plan based on her expertise and my desires. We discussed the plan in depth, and she ensured I understood what needed to be done. My prescription was sent, and detailed notes on the visit were in my patient portal about an hour after I arrived home. Overall, this was the best doctor's visit I have ever had. Highly recommend. Thank you, Victor and Laura
