A few months ago, I was using a cane to walk because of hip pain that had been diagnosed as bursitis. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Clifton, and I am so glad I did. She was extremely thorough, asked thoughtful questions, and truly listened to my concerns. Dr. Clifton performed an ultrasound and carefully walked me through the images, explaining the source of my pain and outlining several treatment options—from pain relief to addressing the underlying cause more directly. She recommended starting with perineural injection therapy. I was nervous, but she talked me through the entire procedure, which helped put me at ease. She was both gentle and meticulous. After the treatment, I was able to walk without my cane. While there is still more treatment ahead to fully address the cause of my pain, I truly appreciate Dr. Clifton’s approach of starting with a minimally invasive option and progressing thoughtfully from there. I feel confident that my care is in excellent hands.

I saw Dr. Clifton for lower back pain after years of seeing other specialists. She did prolotherapy and my pain has improved almost entirely. What I loved about her is that she actually took the time to listen to me and let me ask questions. I really like that she treats the whole body and was also able to help me manage my other chronic conditions I was dealing with at the time. If you need a good PCP who also does pain management she is wonderful. Thank you Dr. Clifton!

If I could give Dr Clifton 6 out of 5 stars I would. I was impressed before I even saw her for my first appt. I happen to have the “trifecta = EDS, POTS and MCAS”. Her health history forms are the first where I have ever seen all 3 conditions listed. Her breadth and depth of knowledge is impressive, as is her attention to detail. Having developed medically induced PTSD over the years due to traumatic encounters and care, I felt completely at ease during my whole appt with her. She is such an asset to the community!
