My family has been going here for a few years. My daughter ended up getting cancer and we stopped going for about a year. They said they emailed me saying they didn’t take my insurance anymore. Never got an email. I had a credit with them, in the hundreds. So the one or two times I could get in they took my credit without telling I’m a cash person now. Not until at least 3-4 visits I was told I owed $60. For that visit because all of my credit was gone. And that I should have known I was a cash person because the sent an email over a year ago. No call, no text, just one single email to let me know they didn’t take my insurance anymore. The dr is great but other than that idk. You better ask every single time you go that you aren’t cash patient.

I’ve struggled with back pain since my teen years, and even the smallest movements would sometimes cause sharp discomfort. I went the medical route and had an MRI done, where my doctor found two disc protrusions. I was told that exercising and stretching would help, but honestly, it only made my pain worse and left me feeling frustrated and discouraged. Finding BFC has truly been life-changing. They took the time to really listen to my concerns and did a thorough evaluation, which is when they discovered I also have scoliosis—something that had never been caught before. Since starting care here, my pain has improved so much. I can now do everyday activities with far less discomfort, and working has become much easier and more manageable. I’m so grateful to have finally found something that actually helps. The care, professionalism, and genuine concern from Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Perry have made such a difference in my quality of life. I highly recommend them to anyone dealing with chronic back and/or neck pain!

I debated leaving this review, mainly because the staff here appear genuinely nice and was never rude at all. However, my family and i felt scammed by the work being done here. I originally brought my 10 month old in with a particular issue she was having that i couldn’t figure out, her pediatrician wasn’t much help so someone suggested a chiropractor. Upon the first visit one of the owners, Stephanie, adjusted her and took a look at her and later requested i return the next day to “go over results” looking back i realize that returning the next day for results when all she did was look at her was probably a huge red flag (not actually doing anything) and just wanted to make herself look like she was. Once i when back, Stephanie stated there were several things wrong with my 10 month old that she’d like to work on, which baffled me because my little one did not appear to need help in any of the areas she recommended, but nonetheless i thought “well she knows more than i so maybe i’ll trust her?” BUT the thing that reeled me in was that she stated they can fix the issues i was concerned about, so ultimately we set up a payment plan. This is where i started questioning things and realized this place was a scam. After almost 2 months of bringing my baby in for adjustments 2-3 days a week, i saw no improvement at all. I began to ask more questions to the other owner as well (stephanie’s husband) and he also stated that they will fix the issue and it takes time. I even showed pictures of what she does and their answer was always the same “it takes time but it will work”. My mommy instincts kicked in at this point and i just knew they were not actually helping. My husband and i ended up calling a family friend who was a baby physical therapist. Long story short we met with her and she physically showed us what the issue was, which was something that Bakersfield Family Chiropractic was NEVER going to be able to resolve or help with and i believe they knew that and still took advantage of me being a young and desperate mom who just wanted to help my baby. I reached out to Bakersfield family chiropractic 1 week later and let them know that the issue i was concerned about was nothing they could of helped with and i’d like to discontinue treatment. Their response? No apology for taking $1,600 from me and a lot of time, for nothing, They just wanted their last payment…. I requested to talk to the owners, wanting to come to some outcome that would help me feel less cheated and maybe feel like they’re not as bad as i believed, but their answers were always the same “we did services so you need to pay all of it”. Never any explanation for their lack of effort and information, never an apology from the owners or taking accountability for never actually wanting to help my baby. It was purely just “money money money”. I’m writing this review because if you’re a mother, please don’t bring your baby’s here… the dishonesty and lack of care towards my little one breaks my heart and i wish i never took her here. After just a week of doing what the physical therapist suggested we saw improvements instantly AND she mentioned that the issues that stephanie and her husband stated my little one had were not possible and that Bakersfield family chiropractic just wanted my money 😕 and they definitely took it. Mommy’s please trust your instincts, and if you’re an adult coming here, please just be cautious and look past their “politeness” and “niceness” and look for actual results… or you might end up in the same position my family was.
