Releford Foot and Ankle Institute

Dr. Releford saved my mom's foot! He is extremely knowledgeable and innovative. He and his staff (Debra and Jason) are incredibly kind. I strongly recommend him. I would especially urge you to see him if you have diabetes and your doctor has recommended amputation. Dr. Releford specializes in alternatives to amputation. My mother (now deceased) was his patient. She had another podiatrist in Inglewood, but I was frustrated with how he constantly overbooked patients. My mom would literally wait for an hour or more to see him and when he finally got to you he barely had time to talk and get to know his patients. Dr. Releford is different from any doctor I have encountered. He is extremely patient and humble and spends lots of time with each patient. He personally wrapped my mom's foot on every visit. He listened to my mom's stories and he has some great stories of his own. My mom was in her 80s and in poor health so she could be irritable. She would curse out Dr. Releford and he would just laugh it off. I can think of at least four times when we took mom to the hospital for a medical issue and a doctor or nurse would look at my mom's foot and insist that they needed to amputate. I would call Dr. Releford and he would explain to me why they were wrong. Sure enough, in every instance, the test would come back negative for infection. *This suggests to me that some people are getting amputations unnecessarily.* Dr. Releford has also received a commendation from Barack Obama for his efforts to improve health outcomes in the African American community. Go see Dr. Releford as soon as you can. You won't regret it!

Dr. Releford was amazing with my PRP shot! I was back to full health in minutes after the shot. I recommend it to anyone having any problems. Dr. Releford was very generous and highly educated. Dr. Bill Releford has been a god send for me. I first visited in November 2017 with a blister that had turned into a would on my left foot. In the 6 months since my first visit, Dr. Releford has made me realize that my health is the #1 PRIORITY. He literally has saved my toe from possible amputation and has also educated me about other diabetic complications I could potentially be subjected to if I didn't take it seriously. The most important aspect of his treatment was the "real talk". His direct comments resonated with me and I'm sure others could benefit.
