Dr. Satinover and his team at the Sterling institute have assisted me with my anxiety and hyper over complicated busy work and life struggles with grace and understand/helpful vigilance into a calmer version of the productive man required of me. The only reason I give four stars instead of five is the musak and hold time during which just goes to to his credit of giving great service to his clientele.

I’ve never had a more disappointing or distressing experience with a mental health provider. From the beginning, communication was vague and last-minute. I was only told 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment that I would be charged $150 if I didn't complete forms. There was no prior warning, no policy explained, and certainly no mention that my deposit would be forfeited. As someone navigating mental health stressors while also caring for my terminally ill grandfather, I expected basic professionalism and compassion. I received neither. When I tried to clarify what was going on, I was met with a cold, accusatory, and completely devoid of empathy response. I even reached out during their night shift, hoping someone might be more understanding. Instead, I was met with more rudeness and dismissal. Not once did I feel like I was speaking to professionals who truly care about the well-being of those seeking help. Mental health care should be rooted in support, transparency, and basic human decency. If this is how they treat someone in active crisis, it’s deeply concerning. I would caution others to be aware of how poorly this office handles communication, accountability, and most importantly, basic human kindness.

Dr Satinover and his staff are amazing. I've had nothing but positive experiences with this office. From Denise the receptionist, to Melissa and Emily the amazing TMS team, and Carrie who handles insurance, they have all been so kind, caring and helpful. Can't recommend them enough.
