Dr. Satinover and his team at the Sterling institute have assisted me with my anxiety and hyper over complicated busy work and life struggles with grace and understand/helpful vigilance into a calmer version of the productive man required of me. The only reason I give four stars instead of five is the musak and hold time during which just goes to to his credit of giving great service to his clientele.

I’ve never had a more disappointing or distressing experience with a mental health provider.
From the beginning, communication was vague and last-minute. I was only told 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment that I would be charged $150 if I didn't complete forms. There was no prior warning, no policy explained, and certainly no mention that my deposit would be forfeited. As someone navigating mental health stressors while also caring for my terminally ill grandfather, I expected basic professionalism and compassion. I received neither.
When I tried to clarify what was going on, I was met with a cold, accusatory, and completely devoid of empathy response. I even reached out during their night shift, hoping someone might be more understanding. Instead, I was met with more rudeness and dismissal. Not once did I feel like I was speaking to professionals who truly care about the well-being of those seeking help.
Mental health care should be rooted in support, transparency, and basic human decency. If this is how they treat someone in active crisis, it’s deeply concerning. I would caution others to be aware of how poorly this office handles communication, accountability, and most importantly, basic human kindness.

Dr Satinover and his staff are amazing. I've had nothing but positive experiences with this office. From Denise the receptionist, to Melissa and Emily the amazing TMS team, and Carrie who handles insurance, they have all been so kind, caring and helpful. Can't recommend them enough.

Dr. Satinover, Laurel, and Denise (the office manager) have been there for our family through some rough times over the years. Denise always goes above and beyond to figure out how to help (squeezing an appointment in, battling insurance, coordinating with pharmacies, providing medical records, and always having our backs!). The patience and kindness that we have been shown since the first day that Sterling Institute opened their doors has made us feel like we are among family.
Following a traumatic car accident, I was incredibly fortunate to connect with Dr. Satinover and his compassionate team. Denise was exceptionally kind and understanding from the start, going above and beyond to schedule me for an appointment on short notice despite limited availability, which I sincerely appreciated. Denise's clear and consistent communication made a difficult situation easier to navigate. My appointment with Dr. Satinover was truly beneficial; he demonstrated genuine empathy for my situation and his intelligence and knowledge were apparent. He provided invaluable support during a challenging time. The medication he prescribed was helpful, and I appreciated his balanced, rational, and practical approach to treatment. He took the time to thoroughly discuss my specific circumstances, and I never felt like just another patient. I am eternally grateful for his support and would highly recommend his office to anyone seeking psychiatric care. In my book, he's a medicinal wizard! So very thankful!
