I received wonderful care from Dr. Carpenos, Dr. Cullen & every single one of his staff. Dr. C treated my hip pain with softwave therapy with 100% pain free success. I also received spinal decompression treatment for back pain, also with great success. I recommend treatment at New England Spine and Disc as a pleasant and effective alternative to surgery.

Dr. Carpenos and his team were excellent! I went in with a torn meniscus of the right knee. He explained the treatment plans and we got started right away. The treatment was a bit painful but it only lasts 3 minutes so it was very easy to endure. He also has a great sense of humor so the time went by very quickly. The knee was sore for the next day or so after each treatment. I went for 10 treatments and was well on my way to feeling better. It has been over 6 months now and I have no knee pain. I am able to exercise without any pain and I am very grateful to not require surgery to heal this injury. Thank you to Dr. Carpenos for helping me get back to my baseline with no down time.

I have been a NES&D client for nearly 3 years and I have been treated very well as a client and a person. I came to find out more about the Soft Wave treatments that they offer, as my knees had been diagnosed by an Orthopedic Surgeon as being bone on bone. I did some research and found that Soft Wave treatments could make a difference. Well, the treatments have made a difference. And it has not been 3 years of consistent treatments, as after doing the recommended visits to initiate the treatments for my knees, I come back as needed for a tune-up. The last tune up was mid December 2025 and it had been 9 months since my last visit (this sounds like I was making a confession 😁), and the treatment does last, but there may be tune ups needed afterwards. There is nothing that 100% perfect for the condition I have with my knees, but these treatments have allowed me to continue to do the things I enjoy without doing any surgeries that in the end limit your movability. I can say that ALL of the Doctors and treatment specialist at NES&D have been helpful, pleasant and not giving me a bunch of BLAH BLAH BS. If I had sensed that that were the case, I would have tried another treatment center. If you are honest with them, they will be honest with you. All I can say to end this lengthy response, give it try, be patient, ask a million questions, and if you feel comfortable with them see it to the end and go from there. I've had the spinal injections, PT, pain management, and been on medication for the past 8 years or so. Surgery was not an option. My husband saw NE Spine and Disc and I made the initial appointment feeling I had nothing to lose but didn't really think much would come of it. After my first consultation with Dr. Carpenos I tried the first of ten treatments. It was amazing the how much it helped me. I walked in having to hold my hand out as I walked down the hall for him. After the first treatment, the change was immediate. The lower back pain and the heaviness was so much better. My husband said it was the first time in so so long that I had a smile on my face. I completed the ten visits and now go about every 4 to 6 weeks and it continues to help me have a much better quality of life. I'm so happy I am a client of New England Spine and Disc.
