Dr. Calabrese is the best psychiatrist I have ever met. I feel extremely lucky that my son is under her care while he is on a medical ketogenic diet to manage his autism symptoms, which were misdiagnosed by many other doctors. I was surprised by the questions Dr. Calabrese asked my son in the first meeting. Her questions were markedly different from those posed by other psychiatrists—very specific and highly professional. After she adjusted my son's medication, his symptoms improved significantly. This allowed us to continue with the medical ketogenic diet, which has been a life-changing therapy. It has now been one month since we started keto, and the transformation in my son has been remarkable. His anxiety and depression have decreased by around 80 percent. His negative thoughts and side effects of medication has been gradually disappearing with the diet. His executive function has improved considerably. Dr. Calabrese truly comprehends my son's condition and approaches it with professional expertise. I am also deeply grateful to Rachel, the nutritionist, who has provided invaluable assistance with this initially challenging diet. Rachel is exceptionally bright, considerate, professional, and easy to communicate with. I wholeheartedly recommend trying this diet under the guidance of both Dr. Calabrese and Rachel.

Having suffered from medication resistant Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety and PTSD for most of my life. I found unbelievable life changing results from Dr. Calabrese through Ketamine infusions. The only way I can explain the results of Ketamine is to make the comparison to the movie The Wizard of Oz. In the beginning everything is dark, gloomy and depressing. Immediately after my Ketamine treatment it’s like after the door is open to OZ everything bright, clear and happy. In a day, I cared about things I hadn’t, wanted to do things again and had energy and focus. I can’t thank Dr. Calabrese enough. She was kind, very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Her staff was patient and friendly. Her facility was immaculately clean and welcoming.

Dr. Calabrese has helped me tremendously with my depression and other issues that I have been working on. She is extremely knowledgeable about all areas of your brain and how the nerves and branches in it work together. Dr. Calabrese will explain thoroughly ( with illustrations too) how Ketamine aids and starts the regrowth of synapses in the brain. Furthermore, all the nurses are very skilled, and sympathetic at what you are going through. Each nurse has been very kind, thoughtful, and helpful. In addition, they take the time to listen to you if you have any problems. Finally, Dr, Calabrese has always taken the time to check in with me for each appointment to talk. I would highly recommend Dr. Calabrese, because she really cares for her patients!!

I cannot recommend Dr. Calabrese highly enough. I have suffered for years, if not decades with treatment resistant depression and social anxiety. I was stuck in a rut with my talk therapies, and the anti-depressants didn't seem to be doing much. The ketamine infusion treatment has been a powerful life changer, and I had significant results after just one session. More to the point, it was a scary, unknown thing for me to try, and Dr. Calabrese takes the time required to get to know you, to understand your issues, to reassure you, and to help make sure that the treatment you are looking into is well suited for your needs. This does mean that sometimes she runs a bit behind with scheduled times, but I would rather wait for quality, than be rushed along in quantity. The doctor herself is a genuinely warm, caring, soft-spoken person, who put me tremendously at ease. I highly anticipate my next session, and have no reservations at this time recommending her services to others with similar treatment-resistant issues.

Some of the nurses were nice but that's about where I would end the good reviews. One of the office staff members was very rude uncommunicative and gave me wrong insurance advice. Once you actually get an appointment don't expect to be disapproved for treatment. That is the only time you will see the Dr. Calabrese without being made to feel guilty about wasting her time. YOU WILL BE ALONE ON THIS JOURNEY. Expect to be treated more like a test subject and a payment than a patient. Which is especially disappointing considering how promising these new therapies can be and how research points to the mood and setting of the patient in affecting the clinical outcome. But time and gain I felt rushed, guilty, stressed, and there was no help in processing or learning. If Dr Calabrese really wanted to help more people she would lower her case count or hire another psychiatrist, and have a timed and planned meeting afterwards.
