I’ve been under the care of Dr. Marcelo for almost 4 months and I’m already amazed at the change in my body, health and mindset. My primary reason for seeing the Dr was for dementia prevention (due to experience with family member). The tailored protocol she put me on has improved my life in so many ways- lost 45 lbs, my daily headaches are gone, joint pain is almost non-existent and my attitude/emotional state is increasingly positive. The only negative is the financial cost of testing and protocol because insurance doesn’t pay for most of it. Unfortunately insurance only pays for reactive and not preventative medicine. I’d rather be on the preventative side, so I now prioritize my budget towards healing vs other areas such as vacation/entertainment. I look forward to continue to work with Dr Marcelo to get my brain/body ready for healthy aging.

Dr. Marcelo and her team at Panacea Biomedical are absolutely fantastic. I have the data to back up my comments! My wife, who has cognitive issues that needed help, has been seeing Dr. Marcelo and her team for nearly 2 years. I began tracking my wife's daily condition now for about 1.5 years and the results, thanks to Dr. Marcelo, are outstanding. When we began, my wife had no "good days" during the month, and 2/3 of the month were bad days. Now, for 9 months straight she has had NO bad days! In fact, this past month she had 3/4 of the month as "perfect" days. Dr. Marcelo has changed our lives with her attention to detail, complete caring approach to patient needs, and her delightfully supportive personality. We absolutely recommend using her services, without hesitation.

There aren't many functional/integrative practitioners in the South Florida area compared to larger cities, and I've chatted with/explored many of them. Hands down, highly recommend Dr. Claudia and her practice. You want to look for a practitioner with a deep encyclopedic level of knowledge in multiple health conditions and modalities, and ability to separate the fluff from the practical solutions that work. Her practice also has an Osteopathy component, something which even most practicing DO's have stopped doing. Here's the hard part - many of the tests might not be fully covered by insurance. All the best integrative doctors don't/can't work with the insurance limitations. However, the best medical care in the US these days is unfortunately cash pay. That's just the way it is. Maybe in the coming years, insurers will be pushed to allow more integrative care but this is your health - you either have to pay on the front end or the back end (i.e. when you're older). Highly highly highly recommend you go to Panacea for either general health concerns or simply preventive health.

I originally took my wife to see Dr.Claudia after she was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's at the age of 59. The Neurologist prescribed Arisept and told us to come back in a year and he would see how much worst she is. He spent approx.15 minutes with us twice. He did however do MRI and send us for a few other tests. I found Dr.Claudia through Dr. Dale Bredesen's website. We met with Claudia and she spent several hours with us on the initial consultation. Claudia ordered extensive blood, urine, & fecal test. After the results came in we met again and Dr. Claudia had us completely change out diets eliminating sugar, processed foods, & wheat. She also had my wife start daily brain games, recommended daily physical exercise, and a host of supplements. This seems to have slowed her progression way down form what it was with no pharmaceuticals. It has been 3 years now since her initial diagnosis and 2 years since we started with Dr. Claudia. We would highly recommend Panacea Biomedical and Dr. Claudia.
