Avant Gynecology

I met with Dr. Mora today for my first (and long overdue 🥲) appointment. I was very nervous and had a lot of fear about the procedure which is why it has taken me more years than I’d like to admit for me to schedule an initial visit. Dr. Mora’s genuine kindness, willingness to listen, ability to explain things in a way that I could understand and professionalism definitely helped put me at ease. I really appreciated how she walked me through the exam, explaining first exactly what she was going to do and then letting me know when she was going to proceed at each step. The care that she showed me today meant so much to me, more than I could articulate to her at the time of my visit. I hope she knows how much of a difference she is making by being such a kind, empathetic, patient, thorough and skilled professional. I cannot thank her enough. I would highly highly recommend her.

I am treated with respect and a sense of urgency as I have to make decisions about sensitive and emotional health issues. The service is excellent, friendly, and highly professional from making an appointment, check in, talking to the MA, talking to Dr. Durrett or Mora, radiology, and setting up a follow up. I'm so grateful to have found this practice 13 years ago. I have 2 healthy children and the care I need as my body changes.

I immensely dislike this practice and Dr Mora. Patients are just numbers. The staff is full of students or childlike clinicians who appear to be very green when you discuss care with them. They never know answers and have to escalate to the Dr. Well, I might as well see the Dr instead of the nurse but you cant get in because shes always overbooked or runs late. Just not very professional. She once held my ultrasound results for weeks while I had to beg that time is of the essence. Today, I walked out after being told 1 thing by the Front desk and another thing by the Nurse. Ive just had it with the lack of care here.
