Dr. Bergum and his support staff exceeded my expectations. I was anxious to say the least. They provided calm and supportive reassurance along the way. I am currently 6 weeks out. I am living pain free for the first time in a long time. I was coached how to get the best results and it has been great thus far. I can only hope it continues to amaze me. I would recommend the knee bone marrow and stem cell treatment. I have had a total knee replacement on the other knee, and this has been a much less invasive treatment with great results.

I’m convinced! Over the last 4 years I have had two platelet procedures and two stem cell procedures. Six months ago I had the equivalent of a knee replacement surgery using my stem cells and blood to heal my body. So many of my peers have been told to “wait until you can’t stand the pain” for their knee replacement. Instead, with Regenexx, I’m back to doing the things I want to do… Pain free!

The bottom line: I avoided surgery for an artificial hip. My work is physically demanding. I only missed a couple weeks of work instead of a couple months. My treatment consisted of stem cell and platelet injections followed by physical therapy. I might need an additional platelet injection 5 or 7 years down the road. Only time will tell—but so far so good. Before the treatment, I experienced a lot of pain and didn’t have enough range of motion to ride a bike. Also putting on shoes and tying them was extremely difficult. Now I can bicycle without pain. Putting on shoes and socks is pain free too. Another clinic gave me a stem cell injection to the same hip 17 months prior to the injections I got from Regenexx. That treatment consisted of only one stem cell injection and no physical therapy. The benefits lasted about a year and then I was hobbling around in pain again. I feel the Regenexx therapy was much better, because 1) I received platelets in addition to stem cells, 2) I received comprehensive physical therapy care, and equally important 3) Regenexx prescribed certain supplements to promote healing.

Dr. Bergum is amazing. He is very patient and thorough and explains things very well. My evaluation took about an hour and he took the time to explain what he was seeing on my ultra sound and X-rays. He did the ultrasound himself so he knew exactly what he was looking at for my upcoming procedures. I am a return patient, so I know these injections help. Everyone else was kind, patient, and seemed to really care.

Had a great experience with the platelet procedure on my left in March. I was able to participate in endurance hike and completed 14 miles and 19341 cumulative vertical feet over a 36-hour period with no pain in my knee. The year before had a lot of pain during the same hike. Highly recommend the procedure.
