Dr. Mack saved my life. I had been diagnosed with FND at Mayo Clinic and was almost completely disabled from the waist down. Could barely walk or stand up, and spent most of my time bed bound or in a wheelchair. I thought my life was over and I was in a very dark place mentally. 1 week of treatment with Dr. Mack was all it took to see improvement. By the end of my treatment, I was walking without mobility aids and feeling hopeful again! He helped me regain my at-home independence and set me up for further success. Big points here ❗: Dr. Mack listens to his patients and takes them seriously. Especially for a misunderstood and often stigmatized condition such as FND, he was very knowledgeable and compassionate when other doctors are either clueless or dismissive. I really appreciated his open mindedness during my treatment - he's willing to explore ideas and adjust treatment as needed. The other staff are equally competent and compassionate. I enjoyed getting to know them. Bonus points for consistent communication. Even though my in-office sessions are concluded, Dr. Mack has always given excellent advice via email whenever I have a concern about my symptoms and he answers quickly. This team goes above and beyond for their patients and I'm very blessed to have gone there.

I cannot express enough how transformative my experience at the Neurological Wellness Institute has been for my Dysautonomia disorder - POTS. Upon walking through the doors for the first time I felt welcomed and supported by an exceptional team of healthcare providers. Dr. McAuliffe crafted a personalized neurorecovery program that addressed my unique needs. His attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference in my treatment. I left my initial evaluation, a thorough 4-hour eval., feeling something I had not felt since my diagnosis – hope. Hope that my symptoms would become manageable and I would be able to live a normal life. Dr. Mac and I worked every day for 12 sessions on managing my lightheadedness, headaches, fluctuations in heart rate upon laying and standing, and various other POTs symptoms. Thanks to his guidance I began to experience decreased brain fog and lightheadedness at a surprisingly fast rate. We did chiropractic care for headaches, memory exercises, and Dr. Mac introduced me to various other techniques and exercises to perform at home to manage symptoms. Working with therapist/specialist Diego, was another highlight of my journey. His expertise in vestibulocochlear exercises was instrumental in helping me regain my balance and coordination. I was amazed at how quickly I noticed improvements in these areas. Additionally, I had the pleasure of working with Christina, who introduced me to biofeedback. Her patience and encouragement allowed me to develop better self-awareness and manage my symptoms more effectively. Thanks to her guidance, I experienced a significant decrease once again with anxiety related to my POTs and other neuro-disorder symptoms, especially my concentration issues, which has improved my overall quality of life. I also want to give a special shoutout to Katrina, the clinic coordinator. She was a lifesaver! Katrina guided me through every step of the registration process, from booking appointments to filling out paperwork, making it all incredibly seamless. Her support made a new process feel effortless. The results I've achieved since starting this program are nothing short of remarkable. I have seen a dramatic reduction in my symptoms and have regained a huge part of my life back. While not as intensive, I will continue to work with the professional, highly trained medical professionals at the NWI. I wholeheartedly recommend the Neurological Wellness Institute to anyone struggling with similar dysautonomia conditions/other neurological conditions. This team is truly dedicated to helping their patients achieve wellness and lasting results, and I am so grateful for all they have done for me and how they will continue to help me navigate through this time! Thank you everyone at the NWI!!

We can't say enough good things about services provided by Dr. Mack and his team at the Neurological Wellness Institute for my husband. My husband and I had been searching for answers to his medical problems for 7 years. Our week long intensive at NWI was truly life changing. My husband has dysautonmia, he was really struggling with dizziness, balance and passing out. Since his treatment his dizziness is next to nothing, he actually has balance again, his gait has improved and he hasn't passed out in over a month. (He was passing out just about daily before that). At their Chicago (downtown office) Katrina their receptionist is so warm and inviting, and so helpful with getting you all the information you need. The medical assistants, are friendly and knowledgeable and treat you with care. And the Drs. use testing both before and after starting treatment so you can see your progress, they have open conversations with you without judgement, explain all the exercises/treatments they are doing and what area of the brain they are helping. We attended NWI 3 months ago and have seen such big improvements in my husbands quality of life, with no regression. We highly recommend NWI to anyone who has been searching and searching for answer to brain related disorders.
