I have to be honest, I’m a tough critic on companies in general so this (to me) says a lot. Since starting Emerge I wasn’t really sure what to expect, I was pretty anxious and worried for my first 5/6 visits as I’ve never even thought or considered treatment with Ketamine but I’m glad I tried it. My experience has to this point been absolutely amazing aside from a small billing issue that is being worked out now. Speaking specifically about the office staff. In my opinion they are the perfect group of people to be dealing with patient care. Kyle, Annabel, Paula and Julia are absolutely amazing people and it feels like they actually care about me, the person and not other factors that some places prioritize. They have eased my worries, been super helpful whenever needed and just do an absolutely fabulous job. I wanted to first say that. The people handling client care are amazing. The Providers that I’ve dealt with have been helpful, kind and informative. In particular Heather and Tanya are such kind, warm and caring people and have made my visits so much more worthwhile and actually informative when I’ve had certain questions. I have interacted with these ladies for probably a combined 120 minutes; you know 10 here, 5 here and to feel so supported during those times has been so important, I feel like people who seek certain types of healthcare are seen as less than successful, less than intelligent and most of all less than human. At least that’s been my experience in my travels and involvement with medical providers for certain services. You don’t have to be a “loser” to suffer from a mental illness and never have I felt less than, not once. Kudos to these people and the good work they do. They are directly responsible for all these words. I too provide healthcare (different modality but human services nonetheless) and know first hand how difficult working with individuals struggling with multiple issues can be. I also know how important individualized, person centered care is and Emerge is doing it right!!! I was certainly skeptical at first and rather than disclosing deeply personal information and details I’ll just say Emerge has helped me exponentially and changed my thinking about these types of treatments. I’m excited for the future and more treatments that are for the most part safe and helpful for those of us that have not had success with more traditional treatments. I could go on and on but I’ve got a life these days so I just wanted to drop these fine people a line and validate the wonderful work they are doing. Thanks Emerge!!

If you want to use this place make sure to get everything they say in writing because what they tell you and what you sign do not match. I originally deleted my first bad review because I wanted to give this place a second chance, but now that I know they are fine with lying to patients I’d like to warn people. Emerge told me that the IV ketamine treatments were not covered by insurance and were $350 each. The reality is that they still charge your insurance after telling you the insurance doesn’t cover it and thus you owe them for 7 copays. They don’t charge the co pay at the time of the visit, like every other doctor’s office, so the surprise comes at the end unless you read the fine print. The thing is they don’t tell you about the co pays because they are trying to obfuscate the cost of the treatment. It’s a sales tactic. I have in writing and a phone message from them admitting that I was lied to. When I first asked about additional charges that I wasn’t expecting, based on the description of the cost structure I was given verbally, I got a rather rude response saying that because I had signed the paper work that I owed them the money regardless. This is legally correct and so I paid them. However, lying to your patients and then pointing to the paperwork they signed as an excuse for why the lying was acceptable is what I would normally expect at a car dealership and not at a business that claims its designed to “help” people. It’s been months since I got the treatment and I’m still getting charges for co pays. The invoices for these charges? All dead links with some generic error message. I’m fairly certain they’ve overcharged me at this point, but I can’t get the office manager to resend the invoices despite my request. At this point I can only assume that the management of this company ride to work together in the tiniest car all dressed in white makeup, wearing giant red shoes, and round red noses because they sure do everything in their power to come across as clowns. Go somewhere else unless you want a circus.

This is my personal experience with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, which I've struggled with throughout my life. I've been taking antidepressants since I was around 10 years old, and as a result, I've developed treatment-resistant depression. Yesterday, I began ketamine treatment at Emerge in Woburn. The staff are very informative helpful my experience was very good the environment is very friendly and inviting Initially, I was skeptical, but after my visit and returning home, I noticed a difference. I was energetic, playing with my cats, and felt like a kid again. This morning, I woke up at 7:30, feeling happier than usual, which prompted me to share my experience on Facebook. I want to spread the word to friends and others who may be struggling with depression to consider ketamine treatment. It may not work for everyone, but it's worth trying, especially if you're struggling with depression and anxiety. I'm typically a skeptical person, but I can attest that it's been effective for me. For those concerned about the potential psychedelic effects, rest assured that it's not about 'tripping.' Instead, you'll experience a sense of euphoria, followed by a feeling of blissfulness, which can be enhanced by relaxing, closing your eyes, and listening to music.
