About this clinic

Brain Training of New England, a neuromodulation clinic in Kittery, Maine, offers Biofeedback Therapy and Neurofeedback Therapy. Neurofeedback is a brain-training approach in which patients receive real-time feedback on brain-wave activity, allowing them to learn to self-regulate neural patterns associated with attention, mood, sleep, and executive function. Biofeedback extends this principle to physiologic markers including heart rate, muscle tension, and breathing, teaching patients conscious control over autonomic responses. The clinic positions these modalities as skills-based training rather than pharmacological intervention, making them relevant for patients seeking non-medication approaches to attention, anxiety, sleep disturbance, a

After a very difficult first year in middle school 2024/25 my son was slipping towards depression and anxiety. We started going to brain training in the winter 2025 and I could tell right away that this was going to work for him. He was calmer, easier to motivate, and more focused on tasks. This first semester of 2025/26 he earned all As and Bs. It’s still something we are working on together. Thank you so much Pam. You have helped us, help my son to drastically turn his academics around.

My name is Joel Morgan. I grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts, surrounded by poverty and violence. My own father died on the streets which was the cause of our poverty. Throughout my childhood and into adulthood, I suffered multiple head injuries, including several mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBIs). I joined the Army Infantry as a way out—to escape poverty and build a better life. During my combat tours, I was exposed to repeated blasts and sustained multiple concussions. I survived. I got married to an incredible woman, and we built a family together. Our children are amazing. On the surface, everything looked good—but inside, I was struggling. Depression and anxiety followed me home, and I turned to the VA for help. I tried talk therapy PSTD residential programs and medication, but it wasn’t enough. In 2012, my identical twin brother—who also served in the Army—died by suicide. He had suffered multiple mTBIs from improvised explosive devices and a direct blast from a suicide bomber. His death devastated me and haunted me for years. All of the trauma along with brain injuries made life more and more difficult. By January 2025, I felt like I was at my limit. I was overwhelmed, hopeless, and deeply afraid that I might end up like my brother. Desperate for something different, I reached out to Brain Training of New England. After just four sessions, I started to feel alive again—for the first time in a long time, I felt hopeful.

Brain Training of New England has helped me tremendously in a long journey of chronic Lyme, several tick-borne co-infections and mold illness. Severe inflammation in my body and brain caused many disabling symptoms: extreme insomnia, brain fog, and dissociation. For three years I never slept through the night and many night's I slept no more than two to four hours. I was unable to think and had to rely on others for basic problem-solving. Pam treated me using a special kind of NF machine designed to slow down over-active brains. Even during and after my first session, I could feel my brain relaxing. After only four sessions, my sleep and brain fog began to improve. My condition was so severe that it took several more treatments, but within a few months, symptoms that had disabled me for three years were substantially resolved. Pam is wonderful. She is very knowledgable, caring, and personable. She is very well organized so that scheduling and appointments work smoothly. Her office is beautiful and nurturing. The entire experience at BTNE is healing. One of the best experiences of my healing journey.
