About this clinic

8th Element Asheville, a functional and integrative medicine clinic in Asheville, North Carolina, specializes in Cyclic Variations in Adaptive Conditioning (CVAC™) therapy alongside traditional hyperbaric oxygen treatment. CVAC™ uses rhythmic pressure fluctuations to simulate altitude changes, distinct from the constant pressure of standard hyperbaric chambers; the modality is designed to support adaptive conditioning and systemic recovery. The clinic integrates CVAC™ and hyperbaric protocols within a broader functional-medicine framework, combining oxygen and energy therapies with physical therapy and individualized assessments. Treatment plans address chronic fatigue, recovery optimization, and conditions responsive to oxygen-supported care. The practice emphasizes evidence-based selection of modalities tailored to each patient's functional status and goals.

Whole-Body Adaptive Cellular Conditioning… CVAC systems device is an excellent protocol to improve whole body system function. Starting with the Lymphatic and Glemphatic systems. Laura and her facility are a great resource for the greater Asheville NC area. Highly recommend. Also full Physical Therapy, Functional Nutrition and Cranial Sacral Therapy. All in one spot with two providers.

In recovery mode for Lyme disease. CVAC is awesome complimentary treatment, helps clear mental fog and relieve joint/muscle pain. Laura is very knowledgeable and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I had been having lower back pain, my doctor put me on arthritis medication that did helped some. I went and saw Laura at 8th Element to see if I could benefit from some physical therapy. She noticed right away that my hips were not in alignment. She taught me a few stretches and simple exercises... it didn’t even take a full seven days of doing the stretches once a day for me to be off the medication. I would highly recommend 8th Element and their entire staff of professionals.
