I had followed Dr. Gomes on social media for years, always trying to eat clean and live clean myself. When I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis after suddenly losing my vision, I immediately called him. After running labs and carefully evaluating everything, Dr. Gomes started me on a lifestyle plan that I committed to 100%. For the next year, I chose not to begin traditional MS therapies, even though my neurologist strongly encouraged it, because I trusted Dr. Gomes’ expertise and approach. During that year, I went through a period where I began to feel terrible; loss of hair, brittle nails, fatigue. Dr. Gomes didn’t just glance at my labs; he noticed a steep decline in my thyroid results compared to previous numbers, even though they were technically still “normal.” He adjusted my (Hashimoto’s) thyroid medication, and within days I felt like myself again. That level of attention to detail changed everything for me. Most recently, I went in for MRI scans just hoping for no disease progression. Instead, I was blown away by the results: actual improvement. Some lesions on my spine and brain were no longer detectable, and the others had shrunk. While I have discipline and self-control, I know I could not be where I am today without Dr. Gomes’ expertise, and above all, the grace of Jesus. Dr. Gomes truly listens. He is passionate about what he does and often feels more like a therapist than just a doctor. His staff is equally amazing; warm, kind, and welcoming. Every visit feels comfortable, never rushed, and never like a “typical doctor’s appointment.” I am beyond grateful for Dr. Gomes and the incredible care he provides. Having this level of personalized, thoughtful, and compassionate care available has made all the difference in my journey.
