PAIN WEST

Came to Dr. Balter after being in excruciating pain with my back for 2 years that only got worse in August 2025 after getting rear-ended led to having pinched nerves on both sides of my neck that rendered me nearly incapacitated to the point I was barely leaving the house for months and in the winter when the temps would get really low (below 40°) I'd be in so much pain it would take me over 2 hours to take a shower on my own! I had been seeing another Dr. Whom I thought was just a spine specialist, turns out he was a pain specialist as well, only he wasn't truly treating my pain in anyway! No pain meds, no planned course of action and would just give me muscle relaxers and prescribe PT that did not help at all! Dr. Balter was a breathe of fresh air!! At my first appointment we went through all the medications I was on, which is how I found out the sleep med I was on for my insomnia was all wrong for me and wasn't getting me the restful restorative sleep my body desperately needed as well as finding out one of the medications I was on could cause stomach ulcers and as I already suffer from that it is not helpful so got off that and he got me on actual helpful non narcotic pain meds! Dr. Balter and his team also came up with a plan on how to go at my pain and even told me he believes he can get me out of pain and back working for the first time in over a year! HE GAVE ME HOPE THAT I DON'T HAVE TO BE 36 AND DISABLED! He also gave me hope that we can put off me needing to have a total hip replacement I need from the workplace accident that disabled me in 2023! Which is great because the earlier I get it done I would just need to repeat later in life! I've already had 2 if the procedures on my neck and it's helped so much I'm already thinking about where to work once we've gotten all the problem spots done! HERE'S TO GETTING MY YOUTH BACK!!

Well, there is quite a bit I have to say. First, this clinic is a five star clinic. I was in Nebraska from out of town dealing with extremely stressful times and in that process my back went completely out.I couldn't walk without severe lower back pain. I went to the Bellevue Medical Center ER and the PA there recommended this clinic. Justin was the first person I spoke with. He was the one who got me in the door! Wonderful to talk to, reassured me and was so compassionate and caring. Right away, Dr. Kurt took me back and immediately assessed me. He worked on me to provide immediate relief so I could actually sleep that night. And he did. I actually cried from the relief he provided that first evening. I proceeded to go to the clinic each day for the next seven days. Each morning I saw Dr. Hanson who gently and very professionally worked on my back to gradually get me to a point to where I could make the trip to drive back to Oregon. I also saw the NP Stacey who gave me trigger anti inflammatory injections. Izzy, Haley and the other staff were all so nice and welcoming each day I arrived. To sum my experience up, I can only state that everyone I came in contact with in the urgent care and clinic were professional, welcoming, compassionate, supportive, knowledgable, caring, down to earth good people. There is NO way I could have had the successful outcome that I had without this team. Highly recommend. You will receive high quality, amazing care here. Thank you all again!

So far everything has been going great. They offer a variety of thing. I see the chiropractor, I'm do physical therapy and get injections at this location. Everyone is very nice and seems genuine. Other places I have been to I felt more like a transaction but this place makes me feel like they want to get to the root of the problem instead of just throw procedure after procedure at you.
