If this review were based solely on Dr. Walker, it would be five stars. I found her knowledgeable, clinically sharp, and efficient. She had a lot of tools in her tool belt that other NP’s Ive worked with didn’t have and it was refreshing and gave me hope after YEARS of struggling. I specifically went to see her for Babesia, and she helped me with my inflammation/hormones as well. Unfortunately, my experience with the practice itself was disappointing. Over time, the model felt increasingly transactional rather than patient-centered, which undermined the individualized care I expected from a functional/naturopathic setting. The practice stopped accepting my insurance, which I was willing to work around because I valued Dr. Walker’s care. However, I was later required to sign a consent allowing AI software to record and transcribe appointments. When I asked about opting out, I was told that was not possible and that I would need to find care elsewhere. Discontinuing care solely because a patient declines recording, without offering any alternative, certainly raises some ethical and privacy concerns. Although described as HIPAA-compliant, the software involves identifiable information, and I was given no meaningful explanation about storage, safeguards, or long-term data use. Given legitimate privacy considerations, I was not comfortable proceeding without flexibility. What disappointed me most was the rigidity. As an established patient with ongoing prescriptions through a compounding pharmacy, I am left without continuity of care or a transition plan. I’ve also spent thousand of dollars on treatments at their office. The experience left me feeling replaceable rather than valued. Not an experience I expected from naturopathic care. A very disappointing involuntary departure, and I thought they would have more integrity than to completely abandon their patient. Update to owners response: I had already made clear in my review that I was willing to navigate the insurance changes because I valued Dr. Walker’s care, so further explanation on that point wasn’t necessary. What should have been clearly explained at the time was the AI consent issue. The form itself indicated that I could opt out, yet when I asked about doing so, I was told my only option was to seek care elsewhere. I was not informed that only two physicians used the program, nor was I given any meaningful details about how it worked or how data was handled. The response I received was simply, in effect, “go elsewhere if you’re uncomfortable,” without discussion or clarification. Additionally, your staff responded to me without addressing the prescription refill concern. Since there was no mention of the refill in the response, I reasonably assumed it would not be provided. Given the timing and lack of communication, I had no basis to believe continuity would be maintained. Clear, transparent communication at the time would have made a significant difference.

Dr Walker is amazing. She has been treating my son for a few months and it’s been a game changer for his health. You can tell she’s extremely knowledgeable in her field, but she’s also very well spoken and personable and confident. She spent the time to actually listen to him and his symptoms and she came up with a care plan for testing and treatment. She explained her approach to him (and me) and didn’t dismiss our concerns like his regular doctor did. She’s an excellent resource for Lyme and I would highly recommend her to anyone. It’s hard to find a great doctor who is so good with kids. I am so appreciative of her and her office!

Fantastic first visit. Dr. Mendelsohn did a thorough interview about all aspects of my health. She listened to my concerns. And she gave me a treatment plan to address my concerns in an orderly fashion. I especially appreciated her attention to minimizing my out of pocket cost.
