I found Dr. Rekant to be very prickish and arrogant. I was remarkably disappointed by my visit with him today. Dr. Rekant gets good reviews online, so maybe I had the misfortune to catch him having a bad day or maybe he was unhappy he had to work the holiday, but whatever the reason - I found both his bedside manner and his general tone to be off-putting and he showed little regard both to me and my case. I felt that once Dr. Rekant reached the conclusion, in his mind, that my hand issue was not in his field of study, he curtly waved me off without any guidance as to what to do next. Oh yes....he told me to go back to the place that actually referred me to Dr. Rekant's office. What great advice Doctor. I'm not in the habit of writing bad reviews. I actually try to stay positive when reviewing places and sticking up, as I did above, for those that may be having a bad day and are typically good at what they do. However, I stand by this review and truly feel I have never been treated so rudely by any other doctor in the past. As I said...I hope Dr. Rekant was having just a bad day and he's better than my experience with him cause his behavior today towards me was absolutely repugnant.

Dr. Rekant was very polite and understanding. He provided a very detailed diagnosis and ensured I understood my injury as well as treatment and recovery. The staff was very friendly and thorough as well.

I saw Dr. Rekant to get a second opinion on my hand problem. He was very thorough and clearly explained what he thought was wrong and all of my options. I feel very confident having him perform the surgery I decided on.
