The NeuroCognitive & Behavioral Institute in New Jersey offers Biofeedback Therapy alongside diagnostic and treatment services for cognitive, neurobehavioral, and psychiatric conditions. The practice grounds treatment in neuroscience research and tailors protocols to individual patient presentations. Biofeedback therapy enables patients to develop awareness of and voluntary control over physiologic responses—heart rate, muscle tension, skin conductance—often supporting anxiety, attention, and stress-related concerns. Treatment is available via telehealth, expanding access for patients who prefer remote delivery. The clinic's integrative approach emphasizes measurable physiologic feedback as a complement to conventional behavioral and psychiatric care.

I genuinely do not know how this institute is still in business. Their job is to help people in need and they seem to do everything but, they tell you they can do tests for you then never make appointments or follow up unless you call them over and over again. They will make a zoom meeting for you then never send you the link. When I desperately needed tests in order to get medicated they told me they were just “checking my insurance” then never reached out again until I called. I don’t understand this level of laziness it almost seems like it takes more effort than just doing your job. I was suffering from medicine withdrawals because I could not schedule a follow up appointment with the psychiatrist and had to call them and they told me they didn’t have availability for a month when my medicine was for 2 weeks. Then told me they would ask for a refill multiple times and never did. I could not say worse things about them because they do it to themselves and I hope these reviews will actually do something or at least help others, unless you really need to do not go here.

I have yet to finish all of the appointments that I need to complete to get my diagnosis. But I felt that I needed to leave a review. For one when you walk into the office, there is never a secretary, sitting at the desk to help you at any point. There have been numerous occasions where I have called to try to contact somebody about issues I was having with appointment dates or just getting an estimation on how much my bill is and nobody is ever available on the phone. They keep you on hold for several minutes after the computer constantly repeats that you’re next in line there have been at least two instances where I’ve been hung up on before anybody answered my question. Today I took an hour bus ride to get to the appointment I allegedly had just for me to get there and the doctor told me that I actually don’t have an appointment today. I still have some appointments coming up, but this is absolutely frustrated. There is a complete lack of professionalism with this company, especially when it comes to the people who are supposed to be answering the phones and getting back to patients. Their lack of communication on all ends resulted in me, missing an appointment because no one got back to me in a timely manner.

We agree with the zero-star reviews. Sadly, once you’re already deep into the process, there’s no real option other than finishing the testing after investing so much time and money. If you can avoid this from the beginning, please do.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I won’t bother listing all of the things wrong with this practice, I’ll just say that EVERYTHING you hate about a doctors office is what you will find here. The final straw occurred when we had a virtual appointment to review results of extensive testing and Dr Tramentano was a NO SHOW. I left work early to get to my mother on time for the virtual appointment that we waited 1 month for. All of their communications state the following “If you need to change your appointment, kindly inform our office 2 days prior and please call us to reschedule within 48 hours to avoid a Missed Appointment charge of $150". WHAT ABOUT MY TIME!!!!!!!
STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE. HORRIBLE, RUDE & UTTERLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!

What everyone else is saying is true, they offer things that are hard to find elsewhere but my god, they are awful!!! Getting appointments that you need and treatments that you need is like pulling teeth. They are disorganized, negligent, and overly complicated. They have no respect for your tine and will change appointments on a whim without telling you. Every appointment is like a 3 step process to get and then they don’t even keep good records of what you have already done and what you need now. The dr will say something to your face but then scheduling is unsure about it. If you don’t chase down what you need you won’t get it and thats hard when you are having neurocognitive challenges. They are a mess and a disgrace. I am almost a year into the process and have not gotten the help I need. Everything takes forever with these people. The few things I did start as part of treatment were totally useless and not helpful. Get it together guys!!
