About this clinic
Dr. Ariel Touchet, ND, LAc, a functional and integrative medicine practice in Portland, offers naturopathic care focused on women's health across the lifespan. The practice emphasizes hormone balance, digestive function, and pelvic health through individualized treatment plans informed by comprehensive intake and lab work. As a licensed naturopathic doctor and acupuncturist, the practitioner combines botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, and traditional Chinese medicine modalities to address root causes rather than symptom management alone. Treatment is tailored to each patient's presenting concerns and constitution, with ongoing monitoring and adjustment as protocols progress. The practice positions itself as an alternative to convention
Dr. Touchet is, hands down, the best doctor I’ve ever encountered. She’s a ninja at identifying trends in bloodwork, an excellent diagnostician, so compassionate, provides sensible treatment plans, and is always a pleasure to see. I can’t imagine navigating life’s healthcare related challenges without her expertise, and cannot recommend her highly enough.

Seemed to be a great fit at first. She was my Primary for more than a year. After a few short months the gaslighting started. I would be told that she had hundreds of other clients who never mentioned any side effects I was experiencing on HRT and ADHD medication. She does not have enough experience/training to be managing care for neurodivergent women in perimenopause. She also told me the work it takes to get a diagnosis for HEDS was so extensive it wouldn’t be worth it. I got full blown anxiety going into her office knowing she would question my experience and/or responses to medication. I was adamant and kept bringing up the issues until she finally told me we could move foreword with blood work but that I needed to get the diagnostic codes my self. After figuring it all out in my own and getting the codes from the lab she denied asking me to find the codes myself. Most recently she transferred to a new space working with a group of other doctors. She made it very clear that my Regence Insurance would still be accepted. When I called to make an appt at her new office several weeks later, they took all my info and scheduled me an appt. 20 minutes later the front office lady called and told me Arial wouldn’t be take my insurance anymore. I was under HRT and ADHD medication management with Arial which require continued support. I had to stop all medication without notice or tapering off. This is terrible business practice and shameful to leave a women hanging who is counting on you to provide continued care in the depths of Perimenopause. You should have looking into the insurance issues and made sure you would not be leaving any of your clients hanging. You should have spoke to me directly and helped me come up with a plan for future care. You should not have gaslit me and made be feel like a burden. Pretending you did not know you would not be accepting my insurance was careless and unprofessional. Please use caution when considering Arial for your women’s health care involving these issues.

Dr. Ariel is worth your time and financial resources. She has been so compassionate and caring towards both me and my husband. My husband found Dr. Ariel first for allergies and I started soon after because he could not stop talking about how much he liked her and how reasonable her rates were. I chose to see her to support my fertility and overall health and I'm very pleased with the results so far. I did get pregnant one month into seeing Dr. Ariel, unfortunately the pregnancy ended in miscarriage, but the the way Dr. Ariel supported me through that time was so Amazing! I'm so glad I found her and I highly recommend her as naturalpathic doctor.

I searched high and low for a primary care provider with a holistic approach to healthcare before finding Dr. Ariel Touchet. As an acute care RN, it was incredibly important to me to find a doctor with solid and up-to-date medical knowledge, as well as someone who was genuinely caring. Ariel has more than exceeded my expectations, and I am so grateful to have called her my doctor for more than five years now.
Ariel is exceptionally intelligent, knowledgeable, and caring; her practice focuses on the body, mind, and spirit, thus supporting the whole person in a way I had always wanted from a doctor but had never encountered before. During our first appointment, she spent a great deal of time getting to know me and my medical history; since then, with her sharp memory, she regularly makes connections and puts things into context about my health before I even see them.
Ariel has an extensive network with other providers throughout the Portland area and has connected my family with many incredible specialists. Her acupuncture sessions are carefully tailored to specific needs and have consistently worked wonders. Her wise, gentle spirit makes her a lovely and healing presence just to be around. She is a great listener and always works thoughtfully to get to the bottom of any medical difficulty. Her support for me during my fertility journey and through a variety of medical needs has always led to noticeable improvements after following her sage advice. She is readily available by e-mail and is quick to respond when I have a question or need something urgently. She has helped support my health in so many ways, and I frequently find myself referring to her visit summary notes and recommendations. I always rave about Ariel to friends who come to me with medical questions or concerns. I simply cannot recommend her highly enough.
