Excellent experience!!, excellent compassionate doctors, friendly, very
knowledgeable staff, the office runs very smooth, I think 10 to 15 minutes is the longest I've ever had to wait to see the doctor, I have tried a few pain management centers, and this one is by far the best, they have safe, sterile procedure rooms, as well as the regular doctor visits. This is no Pill Mill !!!! There are no one hanging around in the parking lot ! The campus is a safe , clean area. There are only two to three people in the waiting room at the same time, making it covid safe due to the efficiency of the doctors and office personnel. Recommend very strongly!!

First, I want to say that Dr. Patel is a very good man, and from what I can tell, a good Doctor also. Also the nurses are very patient and kind. I couldn’t have asked for more. Jennifer at the front desk is very sweet, too. So my rating has no direct reflection of them, but hopefully my explanation below will help those who need to understand.
So why only three stars? A bad experience with calling first thing at 8:30am to get a prescription written saying it was “no problem and would be ready by lunch,” only for me to arrive and it not be ready and the nurses were at lunch. I had to wait an hour for a slip of paper that I was assured would be ready. And driving far from work or home, I didn’t have the luxury of just stopping by later to pick it up.
Also, who sets the pricing for this? $60 per visit every 28 days is obscene in my humble opinion. And I have what I consider to be good insurance. That’s $800 per year just to see them, not including any prescriptions or treatment. I’m very disappointed that the American Healthcare System has in effect “criminalized pain” because of a drug epidemic that’s got nothing to do with pain or the treatment thereof. I think that Primary Care Physicians should be able to use their own discernment to the patients who have seen them for years and have tracking systems for detecting problems with abusers. Many of which are already implemented. An addict will get his/her “fix” as they say, just as alcoholics did during prohibition. All while people genuinely suffering from legitimate pain are punished for a broken system taken advantage of by others.

Today, I feel that it is very important to update my review of the Center For Spine & Pain Medicine. I will update, AGAIN, if anything changes. Especially, if this improves. It is not my habit to say negative things. I was not raised this way. But this situation, is BAD.
TODAYS UPDATE:
PAIN MANAGEMENT PATIENTS BEWARE!!
Seven months ago, I wrote a review for the Center For Spine and Pain Medicine. Today, I’m here to update my first review. To reiterate; Doctor Maurice Bernaiche, is a fantastic doctor & has made more progress with my conditions, than I have experienced, using any Pain Management group, in the past. I was blessed. We are a military family. And with many military moves, I have, unfortunately, visited several different Pain Management offices.
Since writing a gushing review, 7 months ago, things with the Center For Spine & Pain Medicine, have gone down hill, steadily.
PAIN PATIENTS BEWARE!!
Yesterday, I was informed of three important things/changes. I was told that Dr Bernaiche, is no longer on staff, with this practice. Without him, his thorough, hard working, way of practicing medicine and his kind, bedside manner, it seems, there is nothing good left to redeem this doctors office.
Over the last 7 months, the office changed my appointments 4 times, without letting me know. So, I would get a notification, the day before the new appointments & be expected to be there. If I had any objections, had other appointments in place, was OUT OF TOWN, sick, ANYTHING, I was treated like a habitual problem & threatened (by office staff) that my ability to be a patient with their practice would end. (In other words, I would be fired. Because this was suddenly only MY fault.) Some things you can overlook with pain management. If you have a good doctor but have repeated bad experiences with the office staff. Often, you take what you get. Don’t get me wrong, some of the office staff are wonderful, in fact, it has, oddly, came down to the ages of the people that I have dealt with. A couple of the older ladies have been absolutely, repugnant, to deal with. And I can say this, without any bias. As I am within their (older) age range.
Yesterday, I called the doctors office because my usual, monthly, prescription had not been sent to the pharmacy. Even though, I had gone to my appointment, had done everything that I was supposed to, had been early, etc. I called their office to remind them. This is what I learned:
A: AGAIN, my appointment had been change to another week and time, without anyone letting me know.
B: Dr Bernacchi, is (appearantly) no longer on staff.
C: After months of phenomenal progress, finally, being prescribed a medication that worked, with everything that is causing my continued debilitating pain. It is no longer going to be prescribed.
I was also told a chunk of lies, about me having been told all of this already & that everything was already decided. So, they are taking away the one medication that worked, after me being on it for MONTHS, with great success. They are increasing meds, I repeatedly told the doctor, that I didn’t really want to take, because it doesn’t help & its a very addictive opioid. The interesting detail, that this useless medication, with increased dosage, causes me light & sound sensitivity, I itch all over and other things, that I don’t feel comfortable mentioning, right now. Then, I was informed that there would be NO process of weaning me off of the medicine, that works. They are just dropping it, in the most unprofessional way. I am flabbergasted & heartbroken, as I face debilitating pain, again. AND the new appointment, that I’m EXPECTED TO KEEP, is while we are out of town. This time, to enjoy my best friends wedding. The remaining doctors, apparently, don’t care that my pain is debilitating. Without the medication, I can’t participate in our daily activities, missing beautiful parenting moments. Dr. Bernaiche, was doing great & managed my debilitating pain.
Best of luck, finding Pain Management. CSPN is, NOT recommendable.
BEWARE!!
