I’ve been a patient with Roots for nearly a year. After years of trying every medication and therapeutic modality imaginable, I finally decided to give ketamine assisted therapy a try. I’m so glad to have found Roots! So far it has been an incredible and truly life-changing journey! If you’re searching for a new approach, please do consider trying KAP with Roots. One small bit of advice: (1) be patient, it’s a process to get started and get into the rhythm, and (2) remember it’s not a magic bullet, but a tool to help you gain new insights and create new approaches. Great psychiatric care, the staff is professional, timely and caring. The receptionist CJ is truly within a league of their own, having gone above and beyond expectations to assist me. Can’t recommend Roots enough!

I have brought a patient here off and on for a while and wait for them to have a ketamine treatment. The waitting area is nice. There are lots of places to sit(couches & chairs). There are snacks and chilled waters available.... Lights are dimmed with ambient lamp lighting and there is relaxing music playing, but sadly the relaxing atmosphere is ruined as the music coming from behind the checkin desk is do loud it's actually competing with the waiting area music....either turn the music behind the checkin desk way down OR turn it off altogether... this music competition (1), makes me very anxious (and I'm not even a patient here) and (2), it ruins the atmosphere....In addition, the gentleman at the front desk is SO loud; having personal conversations the entire waiting area cannot help but hear. No one needs to hear him cussing, yet we do.... no one needs to hear about his relationship, yet we have heard a lot...this is not very professional and again, ruins the calming peaceful atmosphere...

My boyfriend has been going to Roots Behavioral for a little bit now and I’ve noticed such a huge difference all thanks to the people here. I’m so incredibly grateful and absolutely blessed to have him be seen here. Everyone is so professional and the communication is great. Highly recommend them to anyone.

I’ve been a patient with Roots for approximately 4 years. I usually have a telemed appointment & love the provider that I see. My appt today was in person. I left early to get to my appointment early. The offramp of I-35 was closed with a concrete barrier as were the next offramps. I was lost and late. I’ve NEVER no showed for an appt and never been late so I was stressed out. They have a strict policy of charging you for not showing up. I was afraid they would mark me as a “no show” and move on to the next patient and I’d be charged. I tried to call and was put on hold for 10 full minutes listening to a recording that my call would be next. It eventually disconnected me. When I got there I told the receptionist that she could have let me know that several of the offramps were closed so I could adjust my travel time. Her response? A very blunt, “I don’t control the traffic” I was told to fill out the form that I’ve filled out for every visit over the last 4 years. I did but I did not initial permission to charge me since I tried to contact them but their phone system wasn’t working. I was the only patient there, btw and the receptionist was not on the phone. In my opinion, my call should have been answered. She could have neutralized the situation by saying that it sounded like a stressful situation and everything would have been fine but instead she told me she didn’t control traffic. After my appointment she said I had to give her My credit card which I didn’t have because I had already paid for the appointment. She insisted that she needed it and that I had to agree to their no show policy. I said no only to have a 2nd person come out to tell me I had to agree. I said no because they do not answer their calls and if I signed it they would’ve had permission to charge me a fee without communicating with me. I would sign it for the next appointment but not today. They did not take into account my history of always coming to my appointment and on time. There was absolutely no excuse for not taking my call. After reading other reviews, I can see that they have charged other clients who have had trouble getting a refund. The front staff has always been challenging for me. Unlike the professional staff who are very gracious, the support staff lacks warmth and discernment. So one star for being dismissive in a stressful situation. As I stated, the MDs and meds management team are great, the support staff needs training.
