If I could give them a ZERO I would!! I am writing this review due to the lack of care my mother experienced on her first night at Ignite Medical Resort. My mother was already feeling restless and anxious about being in a new facility. Initially, everything started off well—staff members were attentive, kind, and welcoming, which gave us reassurance.
However, as the evening progressed, we waited over four hours for my mother’s scheduled nighttime medications. During this time, I heard other families expressing similar concerns and stating that this delay frequently occurs when one particular nurse is working.
I approached the nurse to ask when medications would be administered, and she responded, “in a second.” When I looked at her medication cart, I observed that she was pre-popping medications for the entire hall and writing residents’ names on the medication cups, which raised concerns about safe medication practices.
My mother did not receive her medications until almost 10:00 PM. When the nurse finally entered the room, she set the pills down without checking my mother’s blood pressure. I asked if everything was okay, and she stated that everything was fine, then abruptly left the room while I was still trying to speak with her.
I followed up and asked whether my mother’s blood pressure had been taken, especially since she was receiving blood pressure medication. The nurse stated that it had been done already and that the blood pressure medication had already been placed with the other pills.
This situation was very concerning and distressing, especially on my mother’s first night at the facility. Medication delays, lack of basic assessments, and dismissive communication should not occur and need to be reviewed to ensure resident safety and proper care.

I have been in and out as a result of a UTI caught from a hospital. I am now an expert at reviewing the rehab facility, Ignite. Not easily impressed with most facilities, I can safely state that Ignite Is undoubtedly one I will highly recommend. The dedication of the staff is admirable. They work in harmony with each other. The directors of Hospitality, entertainment, maintenance, therapy, work in tandem with the office manager, executive chief, nurse, business officer, and several others. I would like to recognize, Jessica, Jeff, David, Michell, Lauren, and Kathy; In the PT and OT areas. They work with you no matter the patient’s condition yet never asking you to do more than you can tolerate. The nurses and technicians are attentive, polite and gracious; in particular Chris, Manuela, Bea, Marissa, Mary, Josh, Ashley.,Pam, Sheree. A special thank you to Christine who took a great deal of time dressing my wounds. Not to forget Barbara who always answered my requests which were many since I was in Ignite for almost 4 months. For the nurses and techs that I failed to acknowledge please forgive me. I’m old and can’t remember s___t (you can fill in the blank).

Our mother was sent to Ignite after receiving care from Medical City Arlington, at our request, for rehabilitation. She was there for 2 months receiving occupational, physical, and speech therapy. Because she had also lost movement in her legs, the nursing staff was readily available to assist. Necessary labs were ordered and her Primary Care Physician was kept in the loop concerning her care. Our family was updated weekly, as well as updated information was posted on the board in her room. When questions arose, we were always able to contact a staff member. During her stay, we found that a few of her friends had also completed their rehabilitation at Ignite and that made her feel even better. After release mom was able to return to her home.

We arrived at Ignite a little scared and afraid. But from the first steps into the foyer of their facility where we met Barbara to Mom's room where we met Chris and Josh, Mom's nurse and aid for the day, we were encouraged, our many questions answered and the evaluations took place and her care plan was developed in a timely and professional manner. We are grateful for Ingite's team and confident that Mom is receiving great care.

If I could give this place zero I would.Do not send your loved one to this location! It looks nice when you enter but it is deceiving. My mom was there after a hip and elbow fracture . If she wouldn't have had family with her to advocate for her, it would have been a disaster! It took over 3 hrs for a nurse to even do an intake for her and that was after my chasing people down. We had to go get her own medicine from her apartment. She was never entered in the system for meals but after telling them she was on low sodium diabetic diet the continually brought her food she can't eat. They left her tray with water across the room and she couldn't get an overnight person to help her get water. We found her covered in throw up and in the wrong position ( she isn't mobile yet). We had to beg someone to come give her a bedpan because 'it was there shift change' and they couldn't be bothered. We called 911 to get her out of there and although she left hospital with no infection ended up back there with one. I will be reporting this place to medicare. Stay clear, seriously.
