Therahappy

I never leave reviews for anyone, but feel the need to pay it forward for other families in our position. I am shocked that Therahappy doesn’t have far more reviews- Fran’s talent, skillset, clinical instinct, and genuine compassion for children with developmental delays are unmatched. My best guess is that clients are hesitant to leave reviews and spread the word about how amazing Therahappy is because it will make it even harder to secure a spot (I waited until my son had graduated before leaving a review for this very reason). I brought my son to Therahappy at 11.5 months old unable to change positions, roll, or get up on his hands & knees. He was essentially immobile, only able to sit. We had been in traditional PT since he was 2 months old, at two separate (and very large) clinics, with 6 different therapists. After seeing virtually zero progress that first year, we decided to switch from traditional PT to DMI. After working with Fran for 9 months (a combination of intensives & weekly sessions), my son learned to change positions, roll, crawl, stand, and now walk independently! My husband refers to her as a “magician.” Her highly specialized skillset was exactly what he needed. I will say, there was a lot of crying involved. I hated hearing him cry during the sessions, but quickly realized that the fact that he never cried during traditional PT (in fact he loved going and saw it as a play session) was not a good thing, as it resulted in zero progress. Fran was always so compassionate and gentle- offering breaks whenever he needed it and always encouraging him (and me) that he could do it. She has the kindest heart and you can tell that helping kids with developmental delays is more of a calling and passion for her than a job. I am convinced that my son would still be unable to crawl or walk had we not found Therahappy. He is loving all of his newfound skills and is such a happier, more independent child! As an added and unexpected bonus, I consistently noticed huge boosts in his verbal/cognitive skills whenever we would do an intensive as well. If you are lucky enough to get a spot for your child here, I would not miss the opportunity.

My kid goes to a lot of therapies for his condition and he really likes this therapist the most. More importantly, I think he is getting the most results out of his time here. I highly recommend this place. Hopefully she opens up more appointments! She's always booked but we greatly appreciate her.

I’ve been here with my grandson and the sessions were truly amazing for him in 2025. His strength and balance have definitely improved. I’m expecting to hear more physical therapy improvements from my daughter this year! They live in Texas and I live in Louisiana.
