I’ve been a patient at PWHC for several years, and Dr. Means, Cori, Brenda, and the entire staff exceeded every expectation when Dr. Means recently performed a surgical procedure on me. This was a procedure serious enough that I sought a second opinion from one of the best known OB/GYNs in the area, and that physician told me plainly that only a very skilled surgeon could perform it the way Dr. Means proposed. I ultimately decided to put my full trust in her to do what, after extensive online research, I learned most surgeons are unwilling or unable to do. Two months later, I can confidently say that everything Dr. Means promised, from recovery to the appearance of the incisions, was 100 percent accurate. Beyond her surgical skill, her attention to detail and genuine consideration of my concerns at every visit are unmatched. I never feel rushed, even when I come in prepared with a list to make the most of our time. Be prepared to wait a bit in the waiting room, but it is worth it. This is a busy, highly sought-after practice, and the fact that they have their own in-house phlebotomists is a huge plus and a real time-saver. Cori and Brenda have also been incredible, patiently answering everything from the most routine to the occasionally anxious questions through the patient portal. I never feel dismissed or adrift when it comes to my gynecological care, and that peace of mind is entirely because of this exceptional team. I could not recommend Dr. Means and her staff more highly.

I've been a patient for 5 years now and Dr. Mos is the best. She listens and is very thorough with my concerns. Helping me choose the best birth controI options and then performing my hysterectomy. I get great communication and response times from the nurses with the klara app when I need something. I would recommend her over any ob/gyns I've had in the past.

Good prenatal care, but we almost lost baby during the delivery, and I continue to have significant health and functional issues because their OBs ignored my concerns. Office: Rude front desk. Back office kept entering info wrong, causing delays in care and unnecessary/inaccurate bills. I asked multiple times to speak to the office manager, and they never called. Hard to get in for dates, even though that’s the dates the doctor said, including for labor induction. Wait times: Waited well over an hour on multiple visits, with no updates. Phlebotomists: The best around! Nice people. Quick and hardly any pain, and I’m a hard stick. Nurses: Really nice, but poor continuity of care. About 5 or 6 different nurses attempt to answer your questions, even for very serious concerns, when you use the Klara app or text, like the office requests. Nobody knew what anyone else had said, and I don’t recall meeting anyone who answered me, so how familiar are they really with your case? Prenatal care: Great as far as monitoring and involving the patient in decisions. Delivering OB: Hardly there when I was pushing. Refused to do a sono to see why baby was crowning for over 4 hours but not coming out, even after the nurse told her, “Baby keeps getting sucked back inside between every contraction, and I don’t know why because mom is pushing the right way, and baby is moving the right way.” Well, after 31+ hours of labor and while having 3-minute long contractions, for which I had been pushing 4-5 times each, I was asked to choose between vacuum (which I was told could cause baby a brain bleed) or a C-section (for which I was told she would have to do some maneuver to push baby back up through my vagina out of the birth canal, and this I was told would put baby and me at risk for short and long term complications). We chose the vacuum, and baby finally came out with the cord wrapped around baby’s neck and multiple other places. Postpartum OB: My OB did come see me while I was still in the hospital. This is when I had the chance to get out of bed and realized I could barely feel my legs or walk, among several other major medical problems. She didn’t listen to me. Didn’t do any out of the normal exams or labs. Sent me home barely a day after I was allowed to get up. Also forgot to send in blood pressure medication to pharmacy, so I went without it for a few days, although I came in with pre-eclampsia and still had issues with my pressures in the hospital. I continued to report these issues for months after baby was born, but I was told they were “normal” and then finally that, “None of my other patients have ever had this hard of time recovering.” I asked who handles postpartum issues, and she said, “I’m not sure. I was just trained in reproductive medicine.” I had to beg for answers and referrals. I asked to speak go a clinical manager multiple times to report concerns of my care, so this doesn’t happen to any other mama, and nobody ever called. On Call: Calls back within 20-30 minutes. I was told to go to the ER for “postpartum red flags.” However, the ER at Med City Plano did not appropriately assess me, and did the OB come to check on her patient? Nope. I’m still having significant medical and functional issues as the result of care, or lack of care, from this practice.
