Del Ray Psych & Wellness, a mental-health clinic in Alexandria, VA, specializes in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy alongside integrative psychiatric care. The practice combines clinical psychology and therapy with ketamine protocols for patients with treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and related conditions. Treatment is delivered by licensed clinical psychologists and therapists who coordinate ketamine infusions with ongoing psychotherapeutic support. The clinic's integrative approach positions ketamine not as a standalone intervention but as a tool to support deeper therapeutic work within a comprehensive mental-health framework. The practice serves patients seeking alternatives to standard pharmaceutical approaches or those for whom conventional care has provided limited benefit.

Dr. Eleni Boosalis is hands down the best therapist I have ever worked with. Through several different therapy methods, she helped me completely evolve as a person during the toughest times of my life. I couldn't recommend her - and Del Ray Psych & Wellness - enough!

One year update: I’m so grateful to share my ongoing journey with Del Ray Psych & Wellness in Alexandria. It’s been over a year since I started, and I honestly feel amazing. The support I’ve received from the therapists, along with the additional Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) sessions, has made a huge difference in my mental health. My relationships are better, I’ve let go of ones that weren’t serving me, and I feel so much more optimistic about the future.
From the very beginning, I was impressed by the space itself—'Wellness Junction' is such a fitting name. Birds playing in the bushes, cozy chairs outside, and a warm, welcoming vibe inside made me feel like I was in the right place. The homey atmosphere immediately helped me trust the process, even when I was nervous about starting therapy.
At first, I stuck with traditional talk therapy, which was really helpful. But my therapist suggested trying Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAP), and after doing some research, I decided to give it a shot. Honestly, it’s been a game changer. My first group KAP session was intense and deeply moving—probably the most profound experience of my life. It helped me get to the root of things in a way that felt quicker and more impactful than anything I’d done before.
One of the most meaningful parts of KAP has been the one-on-one guidance I’ve received. My guide has been amazing at helping me set intentions and process everything that comes up during the sessions—whether it’s joy, pain, or something in between. Thanks to their support, I’ve walked away from each session feeling lighter, more connected to myself, and, honestly, more hopeful.
Looking back on the past year, I can’t believe how far I’ve come. Del Ray Psych & Wellness has been such a safe and supportive space for me, and I’m so grateful to have found them. If you’re looking for a different approach to mental health—one that’s holistic and truly transformative—I can’t recommend them enough. It’s been life-changing for me, and I really believe it could be for others too.

I started working with Del Ray in 2023 to help manage stress and grief. I had never really done any therapy before but was happy to come into a supportive environment. We went at my own pace. Grateful for their understanding but also the innovative methods like KAP. I have made tremendous progress including making connections between my physical and mental health. All of this while going through menopause and thinking that how I was feeling was my fault. Thankfully now I’m doing very well and feeling like myself again. I am extremely grateful for their support.

Atara has helped me greatly to manage my stress and anxiety. She is very gentle, non-judgmental, funny and genuinely cares for her patients. In addition to being a very skilled acupuncturist, she’s experienced, insightful and offers practical ways to deal with everything life throws at you. She also makes scheduling very easy to manage, which I appreciate. I enjoy seeing her and look forward to our visits.
