About this clinic

BiofeedbackWorks in Herndon, Virginia, specializes in neurofeedback and biofeedback protocols supported by quantitative EEG (qEEG) assessment. The clinic addresses anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance, and migraine through brain-based training rather than pharmaceutical intervention alone. Neurofeedback uses real-time feedback of brain-wave activity to help patients self-regulate neural patterns associated with these conditions. Treatment is individualized following qEEG mapping, which identifies dysregulated frequencies targeted by subsequent sessions. The practice also offers counseling as an adjunct to neuromodulation work. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is available, supporting patients pursuing integrated approaches to cognitive and neurological optimization. The clinic serves the greater Washington, D.C. area.

This team has been a great support for my son. It’s well-organized, and has helped improve his focus and confidence. The team is professional and responsive. Highly recommend it for any parent looking for real progress.

Dawn and her team are so kind, accepting and gracious to their patients and families. We bring in a tough case and they have worked with us at the pace needed to make progress and improve our child’s and family life. Thank you!

I can’t say enough about how thankful I am that I found this place! My teenage son struggled with a variety of learning and mental health challenges, including anxiety, emotional regulation, depression, and executive functioning. We had tried medication and traditional therapy and saw initial improvements, but we hit a wall as he reached his middle school years. His therapist was the one who suggested we look into biofeedback and it has helped him make so much progress. Dawn has done such an incredible job of explaining test results and protocols throughout the process. She relates wonderfully to my son and he enjoys coming in for his sessions, especially when he can share an example of how biofeedback has helped him successfully manage something that would have been difficult for him in the past. I highly recommend this group! They are worth their weight in gold!
