WIN TMS

Very quick to start once approved and accommodating when making the daily appointments. The nurses who administered TMS were great. Unfortunately, mental health only worsened during treatment. While I recognize this happens sometimes, I was only reassured to give it more time/treatment when my concerns were expressed. More upsetting was that I never met with the provider after the halfway point of treatment and was only informed that my TMS journey had finished when I was congratulated after my final session by the nurse. When she heard this was news to me, she apologized, said that that wasn't meant to happen, and told me I'd receive a call from the provider that day or the next and have a follow-up phone appointment sometime in the following week or so. I never heard from them again and couldn't get through when I tried to call the clinic location. I am disappointed with how it ended because everyone seemed super nice, and the clinic itself was good. I recognize that treatment doesn't work for everyone. Still, I would have at least liked to talk to the provider, potentially receive referrals, or at least have received a warning early enough my psychiatrist could've been informed. I've had weird symptoms since completing treatment that I've had to assume were a normal part of the process because I never received any psychoeducation about it, and I can't get into my doctor for a couple more weeks. I'd specifically asked and been reassured that I'd be informed when treatment was complete as I have had many experiences of treatment services similarly dropping people without warning. Unfortunately, similar to other local mental health providers, patients tend to get lost and fall through the cracks without much concern or repercussion.

As a nurse I was very skeptical with this treatment, but I was struggling so much with depression and the impact on my life, I decided to do it. I am now a believer and would recommend this to anyone who has had longstanding depression that has not responded well to medications. The treatment does take some getting used to, however, my treatment provider Erin Schounard was fabulous. She got me through the discomfort of the first few treatments while I became accustomed to it and continued to be supportive through the process. I am so glad I did this as I feel like a new person and I am so very thankful.

Finding Success TMS felt like a godsend. And i cldnt have have been more pleased with how i felt at the end of the 7 weeks. The staff are great and i always felt comfortable with the exception of getting used to the tms but i did and im glad i did it. And wld recommend it to anyone who feels like they could benefit from the treatment.
