I was needing a DR that supports NALU (nerve stimulator) I was experiencing some tingling and wanted to see someone. My original DR was no longer on my insurance plan and I called Scott the Nalu rep and he referred with enthusiasm, Dr Viswanath. Dr Viswanath exceeded my expectations. He was great and so were all of his staff. I am very fortunate to have found this practice. Thank you Dr Viswanath Jerry H

From the staff at the front desk to all other staff I was welcomed and made to feel important and not just a number or dollar sign. The dr took time going over my history and my concerns. He then discussed options for my treatment. I finally have a hope for relief from the chronic pain I've been enduring for the past 4 years. Very grateful to have this staff on my side.

It was my first visit to mountain view headache and spine institute.. Dr. Richard was very accommodating and willing to listen to what I had to say about my level of pain and what I felt would be tolerable to try because I'm not big on pharmaceuticals.. but we worked out a good plan for managing my pain safely.. He's a great guy. Really enjoyed my conversation with him...

Edit 8/13/2025 The office has moved. I wish Dr. Viswanath was the model for every physician. He has been helping me avoid spinal surgery for 3 years. I’m a challenging patient. I have a neuro disease that causes clumsiness. He has a daunting task. I can no longer avoid the inevitable. Many physicians would have accepted my last scan as “normal” regardless of symptoms, patted me on my head and sent me off to sort it. NOT DR. VISWANATH!!!! He listened, looked at my scan (s), compared them back to the post operative reports and helped me find a new spinal surgeon (mine moved). He has a plan for pain management in place to help with that aspect. He is truly an amazing human and physician. Thanks, Dr. V!!! Edit:Dr Viswanath knew exactly what was going on and ordered a diagnostic test. He didn’t want it to be positive because of potential outcomes but he knew what had to be done and did it. He saved me massive amounts of runaround with other physicians because he has taken the time to know me, pays attention to my charts and is just ridiculously exceptional in his field. He doesn’t do unnecessary procedures to make money. We laughed that if it worked I’d be looking at worse case scenario but that is the rapport we have. For now I have some relief and I’ll take it until I don’t and I trust that he will advise me in the most prudent manner for MY lifestyle because he knows me. He’s a gift. Thanks Dr V! North Valley office located at 4045 E UNION HILLS A-109 PHOENIX, AZ 85050 I will follow Dr. Viswanath anywhere. I am thankful that a friend helped me find him after he left the other pain clinic that I met him at. He is a truly caring person as well as physician. He remembers personal details from over a year ago regarding my health and takes into consideration all aspects of my health before recommending treatment. In the past 2 years, he has taken the time to get to know me as a person, understand my life, activities, personality and how to work within all of those things to provide me with the best care possible which isn’t often easy. His support during the past two years has allowed me to provide care to my elderly family members and the ripple effect is amazing. I am looking forward to meeting his partner, Dr. Gupta as he has accomplished incredible advancements in the medical field that will provide relief and much needed healing for many people. They will definitely be a dynamic duo! The support staff are compassionate, kind and efficient making what is usually a nightmare of complicated nonsense unnecessary. It is refreshing to deal with people that know how to do their jobs and do it with happiness and purpose. If you are struggling with any form of pain, please, do yourself a favor and make an appointment!

I have had back pain for the past month, which at times has been extremely painful. Dr. Viswanath assured me that an injection could help alleviate the pain. While waiting for the injection, he prescribed medication for pain management. In addition, his staff is wonderful. Just the fact that they answer the phone puts them far ahead other doctors offices.
