My daughter started with no speech and using AAC device non verbal and over time she was able to speak more first came out as one word then it was robotic, slow speech and now she ask “what is that?” “ Let’s go see a movie”, “mom I love” “I am sorry” my daughter stills use the device but she continues to surprise but I am glad I took her to Drake institute because anything I can do to help her brain to continue to connect and stimulate helps her. Thank You

This was the single best decision I have ever made for my son and our family! We had tried everything to get him help with speech and he was making little to no progress until we came to the Drake Institute. We still do speech therapy, but it seems like it sinks in and stays allowing it to work better and faster than before. They spent the time to really dig in and see how they could help. We had a friend that recommended the Drake Institute, and I am so thankful for them! Not only did it help with his speech, but it has improved his comprehension and socialization! I can't say enough wonderful praises about this place, but it is worth the 3-5 hour round trip drive we do for each session. We continue to come back even with him making progress on his own because it seems to speed up his ability to make lasting gains in all areas of his life. It's worth it!

My son has made huge improvements in the way he is able to focus and concentrate in school. We are very happy with how The Drake Institute has helped him become more confident as a student. He is able to stay on tasks, needs fewer reminders, and is less resistant to change. We were skeptical at first and it is a huge responsibility and task to go through this program but it is worth it to see my son happy and confident without having to use harsh mediations.

Dr. Velkoff and the Drake Institute were able to give me my life back after severe post COVID and vaccination health issues. I spent two and a half years on crutches and in medical boots due to crippling leg and back pain, and also fatigue. I saw no end it sight, despite seeing multiple doctors and trying countless treatments with no results. When I was finally referred to the Drake Institute, Dr. Velkoff and his team took my situation seriously, and my brain map showed neurological issues they believed they could help. Over 30 sessions across a few months, I saw marked improvements that started within weeks. My back and leg pain improved so much that I got off crutches. By the end of the 3 months, my symptoms had all but reversed completely. Since then, I have gone snowboarding, traveled multiple times, redeemed my social life, gotten back into beach volleyball, and work out regularly. I am forever grateful to Dr. Velkoff and the Drake Institute. They gave me my life back!

My mom brought me here when I was 16 years old, and now I am 44 years old. My mom took me here because I wouldn't comply with her fears of death 100% of the time, so she said I had poor comprehension and labeled me with a disorder. I received neural feedback therapy here and after a few months I started having major insecurities in being able to comprehend what other people were saying, or being able to articulate myself. I just wished this facility practiced far better discernment in knowing what my mother did was extremely emotionally harmful and this facility just went along with it. I have my own emotional counseling practice and I help people with emotional trauma because I went through it myself. I give this place two stars instead of one because I can see from other reviews that do help others.
