About this clinic
Whole Health Associates, a functional and integrative medicine clinic in Washington, DC, combines acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine with clinical bodywork, massage therapy, and red-light therapy. The practice takes an evidence-based approach to chronic pain, weight management, and overall wellness, drawing on both conventional medical assessment and complementary modalities. Treatment plans are individualized following an initial intake, and practitioners coordinate care across multiple disciplines—acupuncture, therapeutic massage, nutritional counseling, and herbal support—to address the underlying factors contributing to a patient's presenting condition rather than symptoms alone. Red-light therapy is available as an adjunctive
I am a huge fan of Amy and Whole Health Associates. As a Type 1 Diabetic for over 29 years, it was and is extremely difficult to find ways to maintain my blood sugar. It had become a full-time job.
I am so happy to have discovered that Amy and WHA's services were a missing piece of my puzzle. Her services had an immediate and positive effect on maintaining my blood sugar control. Ultimately, having a beneficial long-term effect on my overall health and future life.
I highly recommend seeing Amy for Type 1 Diabetes, other ailments, or general well-being. She just may be your missing puzzle piece too.

I wasn't sure if acupuncture would actually work, but I’m so glad I tried it. I’ve been going to Whole Health Associates for knee pain, and using red light therapy alongside the sessions has made a massive difference. I noticed a shift in my pain and mobility within just a few appointments—it's definitely worth checking out.
