I had a stress fracture in my foot, which brought me to Dr. Winter. She did a great job, explained things thoroughly and was very helpful. Four weeks later, I was out of “the boot” and using orthotics in my sneakers that she had specially made to reposition how I place weight on my toes which should help to prevent future fractures. Two weeks after that, she gave me instructions on how to slowly get back to swimming and then later to my daily walk. My metatarsal is healed and I no longer have pain. I’m a very satisfied patient. Her staff was great as well.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Winter to family and friends.

My first visit there was okay, Melissa Winter was extremely friendly and nice. But they did try hard for me to get X-ray for arthritis and to pay $750 for shoe inserts, I declined both. The ER doctor had stated I didn’t need X-ray and I’ve had inserts in past they didn’t work for. To back up I went in for pulled tendons, which I paid for boot that day. Yes you must pay for everything the day of visit. When I saw Melissa on my first visit I told her the medication I was taking for inflammation which my foot was feeling better with this medication. She said try boot before she’d call in more medication. After two weeks my foot was worse with boot, I called spoke with Melinda not Melissa Winter, I asked her to ask doctor if I could now get the prescription again because of inflammation and pain. Melissa left me a message stating doctor calling it in. I picked up medication and when I opened it up it was a steroid not the medication that they had listed in their charts front my day first visit. So I call the office and Melinda was extremely rude and stating I asked for a steroid, I didn’t, I don’t do well with them. I stated I didn’t and she yells yes you did so now what do you want lady? I said I don’t want anything and I will let you go. I called back and she’s still rude and tells me doctor wants me to take steroid and to take all the first line at once, big mistake trusting her I was so sick and up for two days. I stopped taking it. Never called again never spoke with doctor. I went to follow up appointment, I checked in Melinda glaring at me. Another lady answered phone told Melinda it’s the same lady again, Melinda rudely says don’t take her calls, so it’s not me this how she treats patients. When I see the doctor she’s not as friendly and I don’t say a word about Melinda because I already feel the negative energy. Once again only trying to get me to pay $750 for inserts and says next appointment should be with someone special in nerve damage. They did not care about helping me only making money.

So grateful to have met all the wonderful people that work at Comprehensive Foot & Ankle Care. A little bit about myself, I work as a cleaner at nights, cleaning 4-5 large office building per night. I also am a mom of 2 daughters (a teenage competitive dancer and toddler who just learned how to walk) so you already know I'm always on my feet. A few months ago I started to have so much pain on both of my feet, making just standing an impossible task. I could not take the pain anymore and finally worked up the courage to schedule an appointment with a podiatrist. Dr.Winter was the first one on my google search list, and thank goodness for that.
From the moment you walk in the office you are faced with a clean and peaceful waiting room and greeted by friendly staff. Charlene, at the front desk made the check-in process quick and simple. After check-in, I sat and waited no more than 5 minutes before being called into an exam room. Once in the room I was greeted by Syndie one the sweetest Medical assistants I've ever had the pleasure of being attended by. She was very attentive, asked me a few questions and quickly took me over to have an xray done. After I had my xray done, I was back in the room not even 5 minutes went by and Dr.Winter was already there to see me. I ended up needing to get some cortisone injections and although they were extremely painful Dr.Winter and her team of MA's took care of me. My visit ended up with my feet needing to be scanned for custom orthotics, followed by being taped and put in a boot for 2 weeks. This was done by yet another friendly face also one the kindest and most knowledgeable MAs I've ever delt with- Jenn. All in all the visit was amazing and surpassed my expectations. Its been 3 Weeks since my last visit in which I got my orthotics and I now wear my custom orthotics and do my recommended stretches daily. I can say happily that I have not had anymore pain. They truly got me going and back on my feet!!
Thank you Dr.Winter and staff you all are truly amazing.
