I am blown away by Dr Shelnutt and his office!! I went in for an annual exam, and first of all never expected to see Dr Shelnutt when I made the apt. No OBGYN I’ve been to has ever performed annual exams (always a nurse practitioner) unless I specifically requested to see the Dr in which case scheduling would be MONTHS out. That was not the case here. Dr Shelnutt then actually sat down with me in his beautiful office and he asked me why I was there. At this point I was pretty deep into finding out about my endometriosis and when I explained my journey and current symptoms to him, he took out a piece of paper and actually illustrated what was going on in MY body (not just generalizations) based on my symptoms and unique experience. I had never had someone explain my condition to me in a way that made so much sense!! And he really thought about things holistically, how everything connects, which is so important to me and my understanding of my body. I also never felt rushed by him, there were not multiple apts going on at once, and found his bedside manner to be excellent. Very gentle/validating/encouraging approach. The office staff and nurses were so sweet and welcoming too which is so important knowing the gynecologist is a place that brings up a lot of anxiety for me and a lot of other women too. Was honestly so moved by the whole experience, never thought I’d say that about a trip to the gyno!

Dr. Shelnutt is one of the most caring people that I know. He cares about his patients. He is always there to answer any concerns that you might want to discuss. The staff is amazing; they are also friendly, always smiling & very helpful. I love Dr. Shelnutt & all of his wonderful staff members!

Dr. Shelnutt listened to my concerns and performed a full physical exam. I am so grateful he did! My concerns were validated. He discovered a growth to send off as well as making referrals for other screenings to ensure I am in good health. His staff is so kind and personable as well! I truly felt cared for!
