I am so very thankful to have found Dr. Thaxton and his amazing team. Just under a year ago, I walked into the Advanced Gynecology/Advanced Wellness office as a new patient having moved here from the Midwest. I was menopausal, overweight and so miserable. Dr. Thaxton is honest, kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and has a genuine care and compassion for his patients. He patiently answered all my questions (I had a lot of them), and he gave me peace of mind to start a comprehensive plan of treatment - one that I was comfortable with that was also affordable, since I am self-employed with private insurance. Needless to say, today was my first followup visit (just under a year), and I am a whole different and better person now than I was then!! I am down over 40 pounds, my menopause symptoms have all but vanished, and I feel amazing. I can't thank Dr.Thaxton, Dr. Theresa, and their lovely staff enough...for giving me a new lease on life! Together, they have given me the tools I need to live a new healthy lifestyle without worry of ever going "back". In addition to being an amazing gynecologist and HRT specialist, Dr. Thaxton is also an expert in obesity medicine, and his weight loss plan is straightforward and effective. Dr. Theresa runs the wellness side and she is also amazing! She's incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and she keeps me on track. The ladies on staff are all very professional, respectful and kind. I highly, highly recommend this practice!!!

I love Dr. Thaxton and his staff. They are the best ever. Dr. Thaxton is very personable and knowledgeable. He truly takes his time to sit down and talk with his patients. I've been seeing Dr. Thaxton for almost 6 years and I don't hesitate to refer my friends and family members to him. His office is very warm and comfortable and his staff ensures that you are comfortable while there. They are very nice, friendly, and easy to talk to if you have any questions or concerns. It's always a pleasant experience. They are TOP NOTCH.

Dr. Thaxton is the most wonderful doctor! I've been seeing him for many years and he always makes me feel like a real person! He treats me like I'm family and listens so well to everything I say. He truly cares about his patients and their well-being. He takes ample time with me and is never in a rush to "hurry to the next patient." I am so dreading the day he tells me he's retiring, because I will never find someone like him again. He is truly a blessing!!!
