Chicago, IL
Chicago arthritis therapy searches usually cover several kinds of care: physical therapy, rheumatology management, joint injections, or a combination worked out after diagnosis. If that general search brought you here, narrow by your specific joint, diagnosis and how far you can travel within the metro, since a directory entry alone cannot tell you whether an office offers injections and infusions or focuses on conservative management. This page lists Chicago-area providers across those approaches side by side, so you can compare options for your joint and diagnosis before choosing a direction.
Chicago's arthritis and joint care practices cluster in recognizable places. The Illinois Medical District on the Near West Side has orthopedic and rheumatology offices reachable from the Eisenhower Expressway, I-290. Streeterville and the Gold Coast offer access near Lake Shore Drive and the Magnificent Mile, while Hyde Park has medical campuses serving South Side neighborhoods. For suburban visits around Oak Brook and Naperville, consider I-88 and I-294; Evanston is north of the city, so compare the route before committing to repeat visits. Confirm the exact office address before booking, especially on a hospital campus.
A first visit at an orthopedic, rheumatology or pain management office typically starts with your history, a joint exam, and review of prior imaging or labs. For injections or infusions, ask who administers treatment and who supervises care. If a regenerative option comes up, ask what is administered, where it comes from, what the clinician's state license covers, and how risks are disclosed in writing. Ask what happens if treatment does not help, and which evaluation, imaging, procedure and follow-up charges are included or billed separately.
Many regenerative treatments are paid out of pocket, and evidence for some remains limited; being easy to find does not establish treatment quality. Stem cell and exosome products are not FDA approved for arthritis. The national arthritis treatment hub explains treatment mechanisms and evidence across diagnoses.
On this page, organic listing order is not sold, Featured placements are labeled and capped, and Verified means a provider's credentials were checked, not purchased. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and appearing in this directory is not an endorsement. Regulatory context
The "other" category is a catchall for regenerative wellness modalities with inconsistent federal oversight. Red light therapy devices (photobiomodulation) have narrow FDA 510(k) clearances for acne, muscle pain, and wound healing, not systemic regeneration. Whole-body cryotherapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical indication and received an FDA safety communication in July 2016 warning of asphyxiation, frostbite, and burn risks. Ozone therapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical use and the FDA has stated ozone is a toxic gas with no known useful medical application. Condition-specific regenerative offerings (hair restoration with minoxidil or finasteride, ED care beyond PDE5 inhibitors and shockwave) have varying approval depending on route and drug source.
The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation investigates unlicensed medical practice and corporate practice violations at wellness clinics. Ozone and chelation clinics making disease-treatment claims face board action. The Attorney General pursues deceptive health claims under the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. Enforcement is moderate to strict, with Chicago's large medical spa market receiving routine regulatory attention.
