About this clinic

Hyperbaric Oxygen Clinic, located in Carmel, offers Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) using FDA-approved hospital-grade hard chambers. The clinic specializes in this modality as a supportive treatment for chronic wounds, sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, and select chronic conditions where increased tissue oxygenation may support healing. HBOT works by delivering oxygen at elevated atmospheric pressure, promoting oxygen diffusion into tissues and supporting the body's natural repair processes. Treatment protocols are individualized based on clinical presentation. The clinic positions itself as a comprehensive HBOT provider in Indiana, with equipment and protocols designed to meet medical standards for this oxygen-therapy approach.

The place itself is welcoming, clean and well organized. Very convenient location with plenty of parking upfront. I got to try hyperbaric oxygen therapy once and did a 1-hour session. Even after one session I already felt the positive effects - my mind felt clearer, I slept amazing, and the workouts for the next couple of days felt easier with faster recovery. Will return!

Very impressed with the efficiency, professionalism, and friendliness of the staff. I am familiar with HBO therapy and this is state of the art. I went for multiple treatments for an acute musculoskeletal injury and the effects were immediate and significant. I am certain this played an important role in my recovery as well as pain control. Thanks for making an extra effort to fit me in your busy schedule and for making me feel so comfortable with the process and treatments.

I received treatment in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber last Monday (11/13/2023). I was cleared for treatment by the doctor who commented that vision may change positively or negatively but that it is temporary. Before we reached full pressure I experienced sharp pain in my right ear. The attendant reduced pressure to 1.5 reducing the pain and proceeded with the hour long session. My ears hurt again as we decompressed before exit. It was an unpleasant experience. I cancelled any further treatments. I noticed on the way home my left eye was sore and my ears made a crackling sound. The soreness in my left eye continues, causing headaches. I also lost visual acuity in my left eye with blurred vision. I called them this morning with concerns. First they claimed they had never had a patient have vision problems after their treatment and that I should see a doctor. If that’s true why did the doctor discuss that issue before the treatment? Then I was told that was why they had me sign waivers. To me it sounded like attorneys had trained them how to respond when they did harm to patients. Beware!
