Now that I have a second opinion I can state that Dr. Meyer’s is not someone I would recommend to go see for minor / non-surgical injuries. Went to the ER with a diagnosis of a fibular ankle fracture. Went to him for follow up the next day and did no X-rays in office. Was seen for all of 5 minutes. Never looked at the injury and was told it could be a fracture. Could not walk at all. Was not offered any walking assistance for home use. Told to bear weight and come back in 3 weeks. Even with insurance, had to pay up front for a longer boot because I was told insurance wasn’t going to pay for another one. Was told they would order a walker, found out that it took two days after the visit for the office to actually order it. 9 days in and still no walker. Asked for a note for work and it took the office 5 days to send it over. The note said “possible fracture”. Appointment in 3 weeks for a follow up. I knew something wasn’t right so I followed up with a second orthopedic surgeon today and they stated “I have no idea why they said possible”, it is clearly fractured. They also offered any walking devices needed for comfort. Not professional, terrible bed side manner and not informative what so ever. The feeling I get is that if it’s not a surgical issue, then he has no interest in treating you. Go somewhere else.

Dr. Meyer came highly recommended for my hip replacement surgery. I must say my overall experience was fantastic. I am 2 weeks post op, and my recovery is so much better than I had imagined. Dr. Meyer is an excellent doctor, and all of his support staff have been extremely warm and helpful. My experience at the Crescent City Surgical Center was the best care I have ever received post op, unfortunately, this was my 10th surgery (first with Dr. Meyer and second in orthopedics- the first was a fractured wrist) in general so I feel I am an expert in this area. I would recommend Dr. Meyer 1000+!!

My wife had anterior left hip replacement in March 2018 and is doing fantastic. Quick recovery time compared to her last hip surgery 9 years ago which was posterior right hip replacement. Highly recommend Dr. Meyer. He thoroughly explained everything and was very reassuring. Little wait time in office waiting room too.
