Neurofocused Therapy, in Otsego, Minnesota, specializes in neurofeedback and biofeedback therapy for adults and children with attention regulation, mood, and anxiety concerns including ADD, ADHD, depression, OCD, and related conditions. The clinic offers neurofeedback as a non-pharmaceutical approach to support brain-wave regulation and self-awareness, alongside biofeedback training to help patients develop real-time awareness of physiologic responses. NAD IV therapy is available as a complementary treatment to support neuronal function and energy metabolism. Treatment plans are individualized following an initial assessment, and the practice positions neurofeedback and biofeedback within a broader neurobiological framework rather than as standalone interventions. Counseling support is integrated into the care model.

I highly recommend Kirsten and the work she does with neurofeedback. I chose neurofeedback therapy as an option to improve how I manage my depression, anger and low self-esteem vs using medication. It's all about neuroplasticity. After 25 sessions over about 5 months, I had significant improvements and have maintained those improvements. I now see things from a more positive and thoughtful perspective. I notice when I have an old behavior trying to creep up. My brain has new ways to help me redirect my approach to dealing with the situation. I'm happier. Others around me notice the change and say I have a calmer approach without such extreme mood swings. The experience of neurofeedback therapy is easy. It provides feedback to help your brain learn how to change firing patterns. There are visual, audio and sensors on the scalp. I always feel safe and comfortable in the sessions. Please check it out! Mental health is worth it!

I came to Kirsten when I was about 8 months postpartum and felt similar feelings of PP anxiety and depression kicking in. Completing neurofeedback has been life changing for so many reasons. The persistent anxiety that was there day to day and the inability to complete tasks unless the environment was perfect was incredibly exhausting each day. I noticed a difference after a few sessions and each week I felt things just solidify for me. I cannot recommend this investment for your mental health. My friends and family say I carry myself with more peace and can just tell there’s a spark back. Thank you Kirsten!

I started Neuro summer of 2024. I was suffering with debilitating anxiety and abdominal pain. The anxiety I had never experienced to that magnitude before and I was terrified. My primary doctor, GI doctors, and psych doctor tried many, many different prescription medications trying to help but nothing would even touch it. My sister did some research and heard about Neuro Feedback therapy and did a google search for some who administered the treatment near me. Kirsten accepted me as a patient, and within 4 or 5 sessions (I had therapy twice per week so this was literally only 2.5 weeks where I saw massive improvement!) my anxiety levels went from an unbearable 10, down to a manageable 5. At times they would still climb to unbearable levels, but only when my abdominal pain was flaring up. When I first began treatment, even if my pain levels were tolerable, the anxiety wasn’t. Like I said, I’d never experienced anxiety like that before. Kirsten provided a safe and comforting atmosphere, shared helpful books and materials with me, techniques for therapeutic exercises I could do at home to further the healing process and she kept a thorough report of every symptom I mentioned and it was amazing to be able to look back and see the positive results! I have recommended this treatment to everyone I know. Even if your issues aren’t as severe as mine, everyone can benefit from this. The results are unreal, and I am just blown away by the amount of healing I have received in just a matter of months. No prescription medication could do that for me. Plus, this isn’t just slapping a bandage on a wound, this is actually healing it! I feel so fortunate to have been able to be treated by Kirsten. I plan to have my daughter begin treatment eventually and my husband too. I wouldn’t even give trying this a second thought. It is well worth the time and expense as the outcome is priceless!

Biofeedback was essential in my healing journey. When I first went to Kirsten I was experiencing chronic chest pain and head pressure from anxiety. I almost thought this was normal but about halfway through treatment those symptoms from my anxiety stopped and haven't been back since. I have found that I am more at ease in my body and am able to actually sense when it is time for me to take a break whereas previously I just lived in flight or flight and didn't know any different. To experience this relief without the dependence of medications was a huge success for me. Kirsten is a strong mental health advocate and provided me with many tools that I will use throughout my life. She is kind, and offers a calming environment that embraces healing. I would recommend Kirsten and her assistance for anyone struggling with mental health concerns.

I had gotten off of my regular SSRI meds and hit rock bottom feeling very negative and anxious. As the 24+ sessions progressed my symptoms have become manageable. I will continue to utilize exercises and therapies I learned with Kirsten. She is a warm and gentle therapist who is not surprised by much and she will always go the extra mile to help you get what you need though neuro focused therapy. She was flexible and gave good referrals for supplements and self help guides. In my home town area no one provides this service so I drove two hours one way to do this and it is worth it.
