Embody Performance & Recovery, a regenerative physical medicine clinic in Kirkwood, specializes in shockwave therapy alongside chiropractic care, acupuncture, and soft-tissue modalities. The clinic offers shockwave treatment for musculoskeletal pain and sports injuries, combined with spinal decompression, dry needling, cupping, and massage therapy. Chiropractic adjustment and physical therapy form the foundation of treatment planning. The practice focuses on patients with chronic pain, mobility limitations, and tissue-healing goals who seek regenerative approaches integrated with conventional manual and rehabilitative care. Treatment is individualized following an initial evaluation, and the clinic emphasizes restoring function rather than symptom management alone.

I can’t say enough good things about this chiropractic and wellness office in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. O’Guin and Dr. Logan are two of the best chiropractors in St. Louis and truly care about their patients. They listen, explain things clearly, and are incredibly skilled at what they do. Each treatment plan is customized to individual needs, and I’ve had amazing results from myofascial release, spinal decompression/traction, and adjustments. I also had great success with shockwave therapy, which resolved two tendon-related issues. I had never been one to get regular massages until I found Lisa at Embody. She does incredible work and even incorporates stretching into her sessions, which was a first for me.
The gym side of Embody has been an amazing addition to my routine. I’ve been training here for a year and a half and look forward to my two workouts each week. The schedule is realistic and attainable with my busy lifestyle, while also giving me the right amount of recovery time. Each workout is thoughtfully designed, with one day focusing on the front of arms and back of legs, and the other on the back of arms and front of legs. Dr. O'Guin creates a well-rounded mix of strength, mobility, and conditioning for each Tri-Fit class, and the trainers are excellent at correcting form and challenging me to get stronger in ways I never have before. The supportive community makes every class fun and motivating, and the camaraderie adds so much to the experience.
If you’re looking for whole-body wellness, chiropractic care, or personal training in the St. Louis area, Embody Performance & Recovery is hands down the best choice.

Dr. Logan’s knowledge and expertise is impressive. He was quickly able to isolate the root cause of my issue and diagnose. He has a wonderful bedside manner and gives me helpful exercises, guidance, and answers all of my questions. He explains everything he is doing and why and asks permission before manipulating, etc. He often checks if pressure or stretch is causing any pain or if it is a good or helpful stretch or if pressure is tolerable. Every time I see him I learn something interesting or helpful about chiropractic. These helpful facts give insight into what I am experiencing and how the treatments are helpful. I really appreciate how it feels like a team approach to my care.
I had never visited a chiropractor before and he quickly put me at ease. Now I wonder why I didn’t see one sooner. Dr. Logan is fantastic.

Okay people, I’ve experienced Chiropractic care across the globe…some good…some ehh. In the last 30 years I’ve only had three chiropractors. All three have been great but only one was exemplary! Embody Performance and Recovery has been the pinnacle of service excellence…period. Dr. O’Guin stands out above many in the world of chiropractic care and injury prevention/recovery. His friendly receptive attitude allows his patients to address their needs confidently without stress or pressure. When you are a patient at Embody you are the center of his focus and that is hard to find. You will not experience any interns poking or hastily tearing off stim contacts. I look forward to every visit with Dr. O’Guin because he is an ACE in a world of Jokers. You will be challenged to find better chiropractic solutions anywhere else with the relief, comfort and improved mobility in just one visit as you will at Embody Performance and Recovery. I live on the west coast and I’m seriously considering flying 2024 miles east for quarterly checkups with Dr. O’Guin.

Any time I've had issues with my back and scheduled an appointment, Dr O'Guin was able to correct it. Dr O'Guin will make the necessary adjustments, but then also provide exercises to strengthen the muscles to help the adjustment hold and prevent future issues. I started doing the weight training programs in February, and now in August I've lost 35#. All of the staff at embody are super friendly and welcoming. The energy is very positive. The trainers are excellent and have been very motivating. I am an introvert and in general, I don't like to do workout classes. These classes are small and the people in the classes reflect the positive, friendly atmosphere of embody and I feel very comfortable in these classes. I have even formed new friendships with other members. It's so refreshing to see good people doing great things for the community and that's truly the case with embody. Thanks for all you guys do. It truly makes a difference.

I went to see Jeff after my leg went numb and I had no idea why. It turns out I had a pinched nerve in my low back. We worked together for a few weeks and it was amazing! Jeff sees the big picture and has many modalities to improve symptoms including spinal decompression, cupping, massage and adjustments. I like that he is cautious and gentle on the body while also helping heal it quickly. The other thing I liked about Embody is they want to get you back to doing the activities you enjoy! Jeff guided me along the way when I could add certain exercises back in as well as the therapeutic things to add and keep in my routine to avoid this from happening again. I highly recommend Embody!
