I’ve been going here for 11 years. The staff and Dr. Freeman have always been helpful and polite. It took a few years to get my headaches under control but he never give up on my care. I still have headaches from time to time but we work together to find the right solutions for me. I couldn’t imagine what life would be like without the doctor and staff here

Useless! After being a patient since 2021, I still suffer from daily migraines. None of my concerns are heard! Dr. Freeman provides the bare minimum relief and you're basically left to suffer on your own. I get nausea DAILY, he wrote a prescription for a 2 day supply and offered no help on how to deal with it outside of that. My last visit I complained about nausea, ear ringing and being overwhelmed with the daily migraines. He upped my useless meds and said see you on 6 months. I was previously seeing him every 3 months. It was so dismissive, I cried in the parking lot. I felt defeated by my illness and rejected by the person I sought help from. I started missing more days and work and developed anxiety and depression. They don't fill out accommodations so me missing work was putting my job on the line. My job offered STD, but this office doesn't handle accommodations so I was left on my own yet again. In one final attempt for help, I reached out for a referral for a therapist that handles chronic illness. Once again, he had nothing. This office has been useless in helping me and I hate I wasted so much time. Only thing I've gained is severe anxiety and depression from lack of care. I wouldn't suggest this office to anyone!

Would give zero stars if I could. I am a past patient in this office, I waited 4 weeks for an appointment for migraines… got up at the crack of dawn and drove 40 minutes to my appointment with the book of paperwork filled out, only for them to tell me to leave if I couldn’t wear a mask… it is August 11th 2023. The mask mandate has been lifted since February 2022. I have a medical condition which prevents me from being able to do so without loosing consciousness. The receptionist asked Dr. Freeman if he would see me, and said they didn’t care if I could not wear one due to a medical condition, and dismissed me. DO NOT waste your time here.

The nursing staff at the Headache Wellness Centre are phenomenal, however Dr. Freeman is hands-down the worst neurologist I have ever been to. I had multiple similar appointments over the summer. No bedside manner at all, will avoid answering questions, pushes unnecessary treatments, cares more about the symptom than its cause, and is rude to his support staff. He spent more time typing than interacting with me, put me on heavy-duty anticonvulsants for unspecified reasons and ramped up the dosage quickly, both factors causing some nasty side effects. The final straw was when, after I had passed out during one of his procedures, he called in a nurse before I was fully conscious and went to see another patient so as not to waste his time. Is syncope a medical emergency? Of course not, however waiting 15-20 minutes for him to return from this other patient before asking "well, are you ready to start again?" (without asking how I felt) is neither professional nor acceptable. Since my awful experiences with Dr. Freeman, I have seen 3 other neurologists, all of whom have been head, shoulders, knees and toes above him. Bedside manner is not everything, however when it is unprofessionally bad and is backed up with no diagnosis, improper medication, patronizing, curt answers to questions and no symptomatic relief, there's really no good reason to see this person.
Bottom line: Yes, you can get an appointment within hours of trying to schedule one, but you get what you wait for: expect unprofessional behaviour and hasty "one size fits all" diagnoses. In my experience, you're much better off waiting weeks/months for somebody else.

I have been suffering from a chronic 24/7 headache for over 2 years. My ability to function in my daily life has lowered substantially as the headache got worse. I have been to numerous doctors, tried over 20 different medications, and been through all sorts of imaging and other tests...
Doctor Freeman has earned a lot of respect from me. He tells it like it is, explains things very well, and most importantly, he figured out WHY I've been having this headache. We're not done treating it yet, but we have a solid direction to move forward in, and for that I am extremely grateful!
I was apprehensive about the care here after reading some of the less favorable reviews, but I must say my experience thus far has been nothing but above par. I am confident that moving forward Dr. Freeman will address my situation with the same professionalism and vigor that he has shown thus far.
Headaches are complicated. I've learned that over the years. This guy knows headaches. I recommend the Headache Wellness Center. I for one, am glad that I started visiting this office!
