About this clinic

George Keanna DDS, a regenerative dentistry practice in Albuquerque, offers ozone-supported dental procedures alongside biocompatible materials and holistic treatment protocols. The clinic prioritizes individualized care that addresses oral health within the context of overall systemic wellness, avoiding conventional materials that practitioners view as potentially harmful. Treatment planning incorporates ozone therapy into selected procedures, supporting tissue healing and disinfection. The practice also offers hormone-related consultations as part of its whole-body health approach. Routine restorative and preventive dentistry are available, but the clinic's foreground is its commitment to biological dentistry and the systemic implications of dental materials and interventions.

This is a difficult review to write, yet it feels important to share this information. While Dr. Keanna may be a good option for basic care and cleanings, I cannot recommend him for diagnoses or procedures. In short, he incorrectly diagnosed/treated me, did not show attention to detail in his work, and was not willing or able to make alternative suggestions or referrals when it was clear there were deeper issues that needed to be addressed. I saw Dr. Keanna last year in the hopes of receiving help with some deep cavities. I am a complex patient with multiple chronic illnesses and disabilities, whose symptoms can escalate rapidly and dangerously. He was able to get me in much sooner than my primary dentist, and both he and his staff were very warm, accommodating and accessible in the beginning. Dr. Keanna filled multiple cavities and put on 3 crowns. It’s taken me so long to write this because I am still dealing with the fallout of the work that he did. Immediately after the work was completed, I could tell that something was wrong with at least one of the teeth he’d put crowns on. It was painful, and while he was responsive and willing to have me come back for several days in a row, he continued to take the same approach (slightly shaving it down) and did not explore any other potential causes for the issue or refer me to any appropriate specialists to get an a actual diagnosis of the issue. The more I expressed my concerns and communicated about the underlying issues, the less responsive he and his team became until they eventually stopped responding. After seeing more advanced biological dentists and oral surgeons (due to my own research and advocacy), one of the teeth he put a crown on was experiencing resorption and another was dying. Both had to be extracted, and should have been extracted in the first place. Dentists and oral surgeons I have seen since also mentioned that his work was sloppy (he cut my tongue, there was cement left in the gum line, etc). All in all, Dr. Keanna’s mistakes wasted thousands of dollars in addition to precious time and immense pain. There are certainly more professional, helpful, and advanced biological dentists around who I wish I had seen from the get go.

I have never had to use a dentist much, having had good teeth all my life. I had an accident that forced me in to see Dr. Keanna, and he did such a good job, taking care of my damaged tooth and referring me to a specialist for other issues that I didn’t know I had. He was especially pleasant during the procedure, helping me to relax. I am grateful that he didn’t try unnecessary or unhelpful things for my other issues and tried to really explain what was going on.

I drove 4 hours to see Dr Keanna as I wanted to see a Biological Dentist to remove an infected root canal. He was beyond patient and caring. The procedure was successful and I truly feel like he cared. If you want your health back I recommend him!
