After my diagnosis of stage IV cancer, my lifelong depression brought me to an all time low. My therapist suggested I try Ketamine and referred me to Dr. Rosen. Up to that point I had tried at least a dozen medications, so I had some reservations, but after just a few of treatments I was amazed at the turn my mental state took. It's like I'm a better version of myself, my relationships with family and friends are growing stronger by the day and I am far more resilient when facing even the most challenging of problems.
While Ketamine is a big part of the solution, the folks at Blue Sky Ketamine are a big part too. Dr. Rosen has not only built an excellent treatment plan for my depression, he has also taken time to make sure my physical health is being addressed as well. Dr. Rosen's assistant and nurse Jeremy is super attentive and makes the treatment experience as comfortable as possible, and his cheery disposition is infectious. Behind the scenes Dr. Rosen's wife Yiwen expertly handles the logistics of appointments, prescriptions, etc. in a responsive and caring way. There's a reason folks travel from across the state and country to seek treatment at Blue Sky Ketamine, the team there provide kind, compassionate and attentive care.
Edit: I had said that it was like I was a "different person" when in fact I did not feel like a different person, I just felt like a better version of myself, which is why Ketamine was so much better than any other drug I've tried in the past.

I have been receiving ketamine treatments for two years, and it has completely changed my life. I first began infusions to treat the intense pain from idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH). After traveling all the way to the Mayo Clinic and being told there was nothing more they could do, I felt hopeless. On top of that, I had long battled treatment-resistant depression. The constant pain only deepened that darkness.
Within weeks of starting IV ketamine, the unrelenting pain eased and my depression began to lift. But the most profound difference came when I met Dr. Rosen. His deep knowledge, compassion, and understanding of both my IIH and my mental health made all the difference. For the first time, I truly experienced joy and happiness—feelings I didn’t even realize my depression had stolen from me.
Ketamine therapy and Dr. Rosen’s care have given me my life back. If you are considering ketamine treatment, please don’t be afraid to take that step toward healing. I only wish I had started sooner. We are incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Rosen and Blue Sky Ketamine here in Santa Fe.

My experience with the people here and Ketamine has been transformative. Dr. Rosen, his wife Yiwen, and nurse practitioner Jeremy provide a warm, professional, humane and supportive atmosphere and complete dedication to each person. They answer any question any time. Stay as long as you need.
Blue Sky has performed sessions for over 8 years and is one of the most experienced in the US. I met people coming from all over the country.
Starting mid-June this year 2025, I completed the initial 6 infusions in clinic over 3 weeks, followed once a week infusion for six weeks, then lozenges 3x/week for three weeks, and now once a week for as long as needed. I should note that throughout I’ve continued with my regular therapist.
The infusion experiences were pleasantly intense and achieved the clinically desirable dissociation. Though dissociation is different than hallucinogens, my experience with those in college (1970s, I’m 69) prepared me for being Out There. Someone described Ketamine as psychedelics without the fear. I agree. I found Ketamine to be very positive, with love around every corner. Infusions were about 0.5 mg/kg of weight (therefore 95) and lozenges around 350 (because less bioavailable than infusions, 15%-25% equivalent, which will depend on you), so 52.5 to 87.5. I felt as out there as I would ever want to be without a doctor available.
Sleep eyemask and I chose solfegg or binaural music on headphones. Search spotify for music for ketamine.
I did not begin to feel lasting effects until the lozenges. The infusions didn’t “last.” After acid trips in college (which were intense and often difficult), I would feel peace for a week. 24/7. Not after my infusions. But the neurological effects take time.
During the lozenges, now about a month so three months total, I’ve seen the most profound results. If I had stopped after the six infusions in 2-3 weeks, I don’t know. But today, my lifelong fight or flight reaction to almost any interaction outside of my spouse (and even then) is 99% gone (I don’t say 100% anything). It’s neither a magic bullet nor lotus land, but the results of childhood conditioning from random psychological abuse multiple times a week for 18-20 years, leading to treatment resistant anxiety and depression are no longer my felt bodily experience. Therapy changed my mind, Ketamine has changed my storage in the body (limbic system). I am in remission. My husband is amazed. I never thought this was possible. Hope came in first infusion sessions. Then glimpses of peace. Then much more during lozenges.
I’ll continue the lozenges weekly and see how it goes. I knew when to go from 3x to 1x intuitively and discussed with Dr. Rosen. We will monitor and plan going forward. It’s like when our first dog got old and ill. When do we know when his time comes? Dog owners said “you will know.” We did. Same for when I knew to reduce from 3x/week. I will know what to do.
These are quality people who care. Dr. Rosen did 5 years of refugee work in West Africa before medical school. There is also subsidized lower cost for those who need it.
This is my experience. I know data show it doesn’t help everyone. But at 69, I didn’t believe this was possible. It’s never too late. And these are the people I would recommend to anyone.

I was apprehensive for weeks about starting ketamine treatment. I have struggled with a handful of mental disorders for more than 15yrs. Day by day, month by month and year by year was always an up or down and all around. I had no motivation. I wanted to live a life worth living but I just couldn’t see the sunshine of life. This treatment has changed the way I see life each day. It’s like I can actually breathe. 🧘 The treatment has improved my mindset in so many ways. I know life will always have hard punches but I feel that I can roll with them positively. The staff was so welcoming and treated me like family. They were compassionate and listened. It’s hard to find medical staff these days that will just listen. Dr. R showed such kindness and empathy to my struggles. This treatment has helped me in a way that I can’t explain. I will definitely shout from the top of the mountains about his treatment. I hope it will change each day, each month and each year for many more who have struggled with mental illnesses. I am now living it in peace and happiness. We all deserve that.
