New Mexico
Across New Mexico, migraine treatment is weighted heavily toward Albuquerque, where hospital-affiliated neurology groups see most of the state's patients, including many of the searches for migraine pain management in Albuquerque. Santa Fe has a smaller specialist presence and Las Cruces has some neurology coverage in the south, but the Four Corners region, the eastern plains, and most of the southeast have little or no dedicated migraine care. Patients from those areas often drive a long way to Albuquerque, and some in the far eastern counties find a specialist across the Texas line closer than crossing New Mexico itself.
Migraine treatment here is generally delivered from a physician's office, a hospital-affiliated neurology clinic, or an infusion suite rather than a wellness setting, since preventive injections, nerve blocks, and infused medications are prescribed under a physician's or an advanced practice clinician's license. New Mexico gives nurse practitioners a fairly independent scope of practice once fully licensed, so a visit might be led by a neurologist or by a nurse practitioner working largely on their own judgment; ask any clinic who is actually directing your care.
Check any credential yourself. Physicians and physician assistants in New Mexico are licensed through the New Mexico Medical Board, and nurses through the New Mexico Board of Nursing. A lookup confirms whether a license is active and shows any public discipline, but will not tell you how many migraine patients a clinician has treated.
Before booking anywhere in the state, ask who will administer or oversee any injection or infusion and what training they hold, what is being given and where it comes from, how risks are disclosed in writing, what happens if a first approach fails, and what a written quote itemizes separately.
The order clinics appear in on this page is not paid ranking. It reflects each clinic's own profile information, Featured placement is labeled and capped rather than blended invisibly into the list, and a Verified badge means a clinic's credentials were checked rather than that it paid for a better spot. Regenerated.com stays free for patients, and being listed is not an endorsement of any clinic.

Regulatory context
Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is regulated as a Class II prescription device. The first 510(k) clearance went to NeuroStar in 2008 for treatment-resistant major depressive disorder. Subsequent clearances expanded the on-label scope to obsessive-compulsive disorder (BrainsWay deep TMS, 2018), smoking cessation (BrainsWay, 2020), anxious depression as an adjunct indication (2021), and migraine via single-pulse TMS devices such as eNeura SpringTMS and SAVI Dual. Biofeedback instruments are cleared under 21 CFR 882.1425 as Class II devices for relaxation training and stress reduction. EEG-based neurofeedback systems hold 510(k) clearances in the same category. Cranial electrotherapy stimulation, tDCS wellness devices, and many vagus nerve stimulation accessories sold direct to consumers are not cleared as medical devices, and clinical claims beyond cleared indications are off-label.
The New Mexico Medical Board investigates TMS clinics for supervision lapses and off-label marketing. The New Mexico attorney general enforces the Unfair Practices Act against deceptive medical device advertising, including neurofeedback cure claims. Wellness clinics in Santa Fe and Albuquerque that offer CES or tDCS face scrutiny when marketing implies FDA-cleared medical treatment. Commercial insurers and New Mexico Medicaid typically require documented treatment-resistant depression before covering TMS for major depressive disorder.
