Alliance Mental Health Specialists

I’ve been receiving psychiatric services here for almost a year and this is the best experience I’ve had with a psychiatrist in my life. I go to Dr. Asefaw, he’s been very caring and compassionate from day 1, and prescribed a medication that has been an amazing fit for me on the first try because he actually listened and asked questions. He also managed to get me back on a medication that my insurance suddenly cut me off of years ago and replaced with something I didn’t like as much. He’s super laid back, telehealth appointments feel like a quick chat with a friend and he always reiterates to call the office if I need anything at all. I get the call to schedule the next appointment immediately after the call ends, the receptionist is always really nice, and they’ve always been very quick to handle any issues or delays with the pharmacy. I’ve only been to the office a couple times at the beginning of my relationship with them, but when I did go in the staff were always really friendly and the atmosphere was always really comfortable. Highly recommend, my mental health has improved substantially, and I wasn’t needlessly thrown on a ton of medication like I have been at other places!

Some providers differentiate the mind and body as separate types of healthcare . Alliance Health has exemplified that a stronger mind yields a healthier body. Alliance, a term defined as a union formed between two groups that mutually benefits healthcare . In the hopeful sense of merging concepts, I would describe Alliance Health seem to be clinicians who encourage their patients to be heard. Not feel hurried.

We all need help sometimes, even if we don't know what kind of help it is we need to begin with. That's what led me to Alliance--it was intimidating, the thought of trying to find the words to really convey that need, or at least to convey how hard it is to verbalize it clearly, at first. But they are patient enough to let you find your own words when you are ready. Dr. Suba, along with Terra, Adrian, Erica and a lot of incredibly kind yet professional staff running the office recognize that the first step into their office for is the hardest step they can take on their own, and will take the next step with you. All you have to do is show up.
