Dr Porcelli is excellent, very experienced and fixes teeth perfectly taking his time in all he does. My experience has been both informative and pleasant while he removed many old fillings and crowns replacing them with safe material so that the metals have all been removed from my mouth. I highly recommend Dr. Porcelli.

The atmosphere at Biological Center for Dentistry is instantly clean, professional, comfortable, and friendly! They’re a rare find in a world that doesn’t care to seek out root causes and they seem to take pride in their work and genuinely care for the wellbeing and longevity of their patients! 10+/10

Although I initially saw Porcelli a few years back for my daughter who needed safe materials for her filing, removing my amalgam (silver) fillings was something I knew I needed to do for my own health…eventually. But little did I recognize I should have done them as soon as possible. After having my last child, after his tongue tie prompted more grinding for me, my tooth cracked and broke free from beneath my amalgam filling from childhood (they were over 30 years old). Within the month, I developed an itchy rash that was raised; I spent nights itching until I would bleed from the small lesions breaking open. I could not sleep. The baby also experienced a mysterious rash for a month. I felt my system was always in fight or flight mode, and I could not sleep without waking frequently. Although more pronounced on my right side, both arms were in horrible condition, and exactly half of my face would not stop flaking. My lymph nodes on the right side were very swollen as well. My labs showed high numbers relating to me needing liver support. Choline, which is a binder of heavy metals, seemed to help a little but it did not clear the rash or itching. Having already cut gluten and dairy, working with my holistic doctor I conducted an elimination diet for the other king pins including sugar and absolutely nothing worked. Having exhausted all resources in 8 months, I finally thought back to my tooth as I had been waiting while the baby was nursing heavily to fully fix the filling. Investigating further, I was able to read medical journals that had case studies featuring similar rashes resulting from amalgam fillings. I knew, although it sounded a little odd, that my broken filling must be leaching more mercury vapor into my system since these fillings are made of around 50 percent elemental mercury. I asked my doctor to conduct heavy metal testing. Mercury showed up in the sample, and I knew I had to have them safely removed, especially considering I was nursing. I could not wait any longer. Immediately, I called Porcelli for my own personal consultation as I had been so impressed with the care and concern they had showed my own daughter in the past. I knew they conducted the SMART protocol when removing amalgams, and I knew that nursing presented a different challenge. Together with Dr. Porcelli and his exceptional & friendly staff, we scheduled the removal and he addressed all of my concerns, working with my ibclc’s suggestion of pumping and dumping if I wanted to be especially careful. Everything went smoothly from the removal to the placement of my crown and overlay. I could not be more pleased. He is clearly a dentist and a mouth artist, and you know you are in trusted hands at his office. However, what has been most freeing and so incredible is my body feels as if it can relax while sleeping, no longer in fight or flight mode. Within a week, my arm rashes began to fade and entirely disappeared. The lower back pain I thought was the result of running resolved so that I could pick up the baby without pain. What I thought might be “growing older” was likely toxicity from the exposed amalgam. In terms of mental clarity, I feel that I can focus with more resolution in conversations, thoughts. Although I have dedicated myself to health and exercise, it is amazing to me that two small fillings could cause my body such demise. My skin is regaining its barrier and retaining moisture again. I am so very thankful to Porcelli as he is a researching practitioner, always reading material to improve and share with his patients and other doctors. This desire to be the very best in order to help patients is a rare trait these days. I am so thankful for a professional I can trust with my health as the work he does is impeccable and based in deep regard for his patients’ health. If at all possible, consider replacing your silver fillings before they become a constant health issue as mine did. I am so thankful they are gone.
