I came to the wave of Columbia not really knowing what to expect, but I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, everyone made me feel welcome. The staff truly care about you as a person, not just someone who needs to get sober. They helped me see that I still had something to live for, even when I didn’t believe it myself. The classes were actually fun and useful. We did yoga, group therapy, and some holistic sessions that really opened my eyes to new ways of coping. The weekends were chill, and we even got to go out for snacks or personal items once a week. The food was pretty good too, and I liked that they tried to make it feel like home. It’s been months since I left and I’m still sober. I honestly don’t think I’d be here if it wasn’t for the people at the wave. Y’all really gave me another shot at life and I’m forever grateful.

When my brother needed help, I called so many places that either didn't answer or said they had no space. The only folks who cared enough to actually help were at the wave of Columbia. Debbie called me back the same day, even though it was the weekend, and worked nonstop to get him in fast. Within two days he was checked in and finally safe. The team there treated him with kindness and respect. No judgment, no attitude, just real compassion. He's doing better than I've seen him in years. I've never met people who care this much about their patients. Y'all changed his life and mine too. If you're trying to find a place that won't give up on you or someone you love, this is the one.

I was one of the first people to come here when they opened and I still tell everyone about it. They treat you like family, not like a number. The techs and counselors are always around and they actually listen. Three solid meals a day, fun classes, and plenty of support. When I left, I realized everything they taught me still stuck with me. I'm living proof that the wave works. Thanks y'all for everything.
