Allen Psychiatry, TMS & IOP

The last 3 months have been horrendous! I am finally at a place where I can breathe and I have come to give my opinion on this clinic. The staff at Allen psych are phenomenal. If you suffer with anxiety while talking to people, look no further. This place NEVER made me feel weird for over explaining, listened to my concerns, gave me a plan, and walked me step by step. I absolutely HAVE to shout out Ashley. On a personal level, she gave me true human kindness. She went above and beyond for me in too many ways to write. She made the impossible happen and she gave me A LOT of hope. In addition- I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Sandhu as your doctor of choice! She listens with intent, informs, guides, and really makes me feel like her only patient. She has the memory of an elephant and a brain of gold. I know this review is cheesy but I really believe that this is a wonderful clinic.

Nichole and Taya each spoke to me at length on the phone, upwards of an hour each. They eased my mind about TMS and answered every question and concern I had. Then, upon arriving for a TMS tour, Dr. Ali happened to walk by (ON HER DAY OFF!) and SHE stopped to sit me and my mother down in her office to talk about TMS, of course, but she asked me about my life story and made a HUGE impact on me. This place, Allen Psychiatry— if you haven’t looked into scheduling an appointment yet, why wait any longer to change the positive trajectory of your life path?!?! No excuses, call them today.

I do not recommend for mental health services. This place is very expensive and when I needed them the most they could not deliver. I needed them to fill out paperwork, but they constantly denied me because of their policy. After talking to many mental health professionals and my PCP, they were all surprised to hear that my main mental health facility could not help me with paperwork. I was a patient long enough to establish a rapport, but they could not recommend the best treatment for me. My NP Elizabeth was very nice, but it seemed like I was just another patient answering questions about my mental health. My experience wasn’t personable and I wasn’t even asked about my long term mental health goals. I don’t want to be on medicine forever, but if their patients aren’t booking appointments then the money isn’t flowing. I understand this is a business. I went someone else for a second opinion and they were very helpful and more involved in my long term overall health journey. This may be a good place for you if you’re going through a crisis and need immediate help, but for “long term” care, I do not recommend.
