About this clinic

Foundation Pain & Spine, a regenerative pain-management clinic in Dallas, specializes in platelet-rich plasma therapy for musculoskeletal and joint conditions. PRP is an orthobiologic treatment that uses concentrated platelets from a patient's own blood to support tissue repair and reduce inflammation in areas affected by chronic pain, sports injuries, and degenerative joint disease. Treatment plans are individualized following an initial evaluation, with the clinic emphasizing regenerative approaches alongside conventional pain-management options. The practice focuses on patients seeking alternatives to long-term pharmaceutical management or considering regenerative modalities before pursuing more invasive interventions.

Dr Thompson is a good doctor however his staff, to me, are cold and non-caring! They do not advocate for patients AT ALL. They are always rude to me and give me cold excuses. I recently wrecked my car and could not make it for my morphine pump to be refilled. I called the office and never got a response. My pump beeps and alerts when it is empty. I began having morphine withdrawals. Anybody who knows will tell you it is EXCRUCIATING! I told the staff how bad I have been feeling and to please let dr. Thompson know that I’ve been in horrible pain with OVER THE TOP withdrawal symptoms. The staff kept telling me the importance of keeping scheduled appointments. I told her multiple times that wrecking my car was the reason I could not make it. Nothing was done for my pain and withdrawals. I suffered all night. I called the next morning and asked her to please advocate for me and tell dr. Thompson how bad I have been suffering. She again repeated about the importance of keeping scheduled appointments. I AGAIN reminded her my car was wrecked. She seemed to not care by interrupting me and saying it can take up to 48hrs to get some meds to help me sent to a pharmacy. I understand he is is in procedures but I do know from years of being a nurse that he does have a phone in the procedure room and that they can let him know how bad I have been suffering so that his nurse could call me something in pronto. The staff person I talked to was cold hearted and only repeated “ma’am he’s in procedures today.” I have never suffered so bad at the hands of non-caring staff who refuse to advocate for dr. Thompson’s patients. They need a class in etiquette to learn to listen closely to and to sympathize so that they can appropriately advocate patient needs!

I vetted this doctor before making the appointment for consultation. When I arrived I had a mountain of paperwork to fill out. When I did see him I couldn't get a word in inch wise. He gave me some stupid analogy of a light switch. Then set me up for X-rays and CT scans that cost me 200 dollars out of pocket. Then he took my medicine I've been on for years away from me. Didn't find that out until I went to pharmacy. He had every chance to tell me that he wouldn't refill certain meds during consult. If he had I wouldn't of went for 200 dollar scans I can't afford. I never signed anything saying it was ok for him to change my medication. This guy is a real unprofessional jerk. Immature doctor. Doest listen to you. Doesn't give a crap what you've been thru. There's a reason I've been on the medication I've been on and it taken me 16 years of trying everything in the book to find the ones that work for me. Honestly I would like a refund of my copay. So my search continues to find the right Doctor for me. I hope you read reviews and helps you stay away from this guy.

My appointment for a simple follow up was at 10:00 am. I arrived at 9:30 and by 10:30 I was still waiting. I told them that I was going to need to leave. They asked if I had an appointment somewhere else, while I was standing next to a sign where they say they reserve the right to reschedule if I’m 15 minutes late. Evidently I have to have a specific reason to reschedule if they are 30 minutes late. My time is valuable too. When I told him that I had 30 minutes allocated for this appointment, the doctors assistant told me I should allocate an hour just in case. She also suggested that I make an appointment for the first thing in the morning so they can “get me right in“. I have an idea! How about you respect your patience time and get us in when we are scheduled to get in?
