10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND !!! They won’t see you for more than 5 minutes not even giving you a chance to speak on your symptoms. I didn’t see the actual dr till my 3rd visit and dr Alvarez told me to go see another dr because she didn’t know how to help me. You can imagine my frustration after they had made me come and wait two hours, standing because they had no chairs left and I’m pretty sure the amount of people they had in the waiting room is a fire code violation. This visit was made because my prior visit they were not prepared and made me come back for results. Not only did I waste my time in two visits but they also told me they would call me in between that time and I was left on hold for an hour 3 days in a row before they asked me to just do a in a person visit. During my second visit I also had the pa Belinda Garza make a insensitive and insulting remark at my relationship with my partner stating I should go to therapy …. I had not send one word to this women for her to make such a suggestion. The fact that she wanted to gaslight me about my illness is beyond unbelievable. Let’s not forget the rude staff in the front, I had my husband go back for my blood work paper because they failed to give it to me on my second visit and they made a scene that I had to be the one to get it and made him pay $5 for a paper that they failed to give us. As if I didn’t have to paper $100 out of pocket for the blood work already … ridiculous i forget to mention that they prescribed me medication in my first and second visit and after calling multiple times … till this day I have not gotten my notification from the pharmacy that the dr sent it in.

After 25 years, I was finally listened to and taken care of. I can not thank Belinda Garza enough for taking the time to help me. She took her time, and went above and beyond to figure out why I was in so much pain. The wait time is worth it when you know you're being taken care of. I would HIGHLY recommend Intergrative Rheumatology of South Texas.

I really like the PA here. Dr Alvarez not so much. The PA is much more thorough and ask me how I’m doing? I am having a serious problem with getting maintenance medication (non narcotics) sent in for refills. I’ve called several times pretty much begging for them to send my refills in to the pharmacy. They were supposed to be sent in at my last appointment which was Aug 6 2025. I keep being told they will but get nothing. I called today and told them if I can not get them today that I will be forced to go to Mexico to get them. I am now thinking it may be time to change doctors which makes me sad because I’ve been going here for 5 years and I really like the PA. I would not recommend this office.
